NIT has been good for Buffs | By Brian Howell © 2011 Longmont Times-Call

As a No. 1 seed in the NIT, the Buffs also have gained experience in a new role.

“This is a tournament where it’s going to be good for our program,” Boyle said last week. “We’re most comfortable in the underdog role. This tournament is giving us an opportunity to feel what it’s like for people to come after us and be the hunted.

“We have to be able to handle that, because in the future, that’s the position we want to be in.”

Preach it, Tad! This is like after the Texas game when he said he looks forward to when the other team storms its home court if the Buffs drop a road game.

winning away from the CEC in NYC would also be a nice plus. being the hunted is one thing at home, away from home is another.
