I have been lazy starting this (Annual) thread, but will be adding more detail for all the great racing that will be occurring and has already occurred for the Pro Buffs this (Olympic) year, as well as any activity for future or current Buffs in races or Championships that include Pros.

I wanted to quickly start this thread now, as the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, being shown some where on the NBC sports platform(s), are scheduled to start today at 8:00 AM MT today. (They are in Orlando.)

AT minimum, I believe there are at least 3 #ForeverBuffs I know about (all in the women's race) competing. (There could easily be more.)

Had time to get a little more info on today's marathon trials:

1) Coverage starts at 8:00 AM MT from Orlando, with the men's race scheduled to begin 10 minutes after that at 8:10 AM and the women following a little after that at 8:20 AM MT. (This is per https://www.sportingnews.com/us/oly...ream-time-2024-paris/7319891b46822255030e25eb .)

(In an unrelated note, believe there is some controversy that, even in winter, Orlando wasn't the best choice for the Trials due to the relative heat and humidity, and if it was to be held there it should start even earlier than it is (10:00 AM local time).)

2) Live coverage looks to be available only through streaming (either Peacock, nbc.com and/ or the nbc sports app), with the races later being shown on tape delay beginning at 10:00 AM MT on NBC itself.

3) Trials homepage is https://www.usatf.org/events/2024/2024-u-s-olympic-team-trials-—-marathon .

4) Live results of the leaders will be available at https://track.rtrt.me/e/ORLANDO-TRIALS-2024#/leaderboard/top-men-marathon .

5) Not sure if all are running, but based on a roster of entrants I found at https://www.orlando2024trials.com/i...1000&cntnt01sortorder=ASC&dir=ASC&filter=full , quite a few Buffs are looking to pull an upset and earn a top 3 finish today, or if nothing else have individual victories with great personal performances.

Excuse me in advance if I miss some one, but the names which rang a bell to me as #ForeverBuffs entered to race today are:

Men's race - Charley Sweeney, Paxton Smith

Women's race - Sara Vaughn, Makena Morley, Laura Thweatt, Carrie Verdon, Mackenzie Ann Caldwell and Jenny Simpson.

Best wishes to all racing today!
