Tomorrow would be a great time to break that road losing streak

Lawdogg mentioned it in another post, but tomorrow's game is part of a huge recruiting weekend for UCLA. There will be several prospects on hand that we have offered. A win in the Rose Bowl in front of those players would be pretty big (in addition to lifting the huge road losing streak burden). A list of guys who have an offer from us that will be in attendance:

Ellis McCarthy
(Longest of longshots, but a good showing would not hurt)
Darreus Rogers
(Has been talking about taking some official visits elsewhere for a while now)
Aaron Porter
(No signs of wavering, but you never know)
Tyler Hasty (We remain his only offer)
Milo Jordan (He is interested in taking an OV to Boulder next month)
Paul Perkins (We are the on outside looking in, but we were one of his first offers)
Damion Turpin (UCLA has not actually accepted him commitment yet)
Richard Smith (Has been looking around for months)
Bryan Harper (Committed to Washington over the summer, but is open to several schools right now)

Additionally, some 2013 prospects that are on our radar early:

Dashon Hunt (Early commit to UCLA, but we have a strong Westlake connection)
Marcus Baugh (We have shown early interest)
John Ross (One of our early 2013 offers)
Hayden Rettig (Likely to be one of the top QBs in California, even after a knee injury this season)

Tomorrow night would be as good a time as any to make a statement to these recruits in attendance. This is just some of the list too. Potential free advertising.

I take it that 13 (or possibly more) recruits is an extremely high number for a road game? I would think so...

I heard we are gonna win this one. Some guy who looks like a varmint told me

We are going to win, man.

Hopefully the UCLA game doesn't negatively impact recruiting. I hope Tyler Hasty saw the game, and realized that if he commits to CU, he has a great chance of starting next year. I am embrassed as a CU fan to see converted WR, RB, safeties that can't run play Corner for CU.

You never know. Some guys see opportunity when a team gets whipped. Others see a bad situation. I would think that with us in the first year of a coaching change and a major roster turnover (over 60 of the 85 scholarship guys will have been brought in by Embree next year), we're more likely to get looked at through the "opportunity" lens.

Yeah, but there's obviously another reason besides CU for why Tyler Hasty was at the game. Picking tonight for our worst performance of the year (which says something) is the worst possible timing.
