Clay Norgard and Tyler Henington both 1st team (as expeced).

Tyler was also the defensive poty in Colorado. Congratulations!

fwiw, fans haven't gotten as excited as Tyler as they should be. He may be the best player committed to us. I think he's going to be one hell of a disruptive force on the DL for us.

1 junior on the list (TE Mitch Parsons from Chaparral - CU is after hard). Article has new photos, too.

Love Henington. Love Norgard. Love the in-state kids who have chosen to take on the task to bringing CU back towards our standards. We got the best two kids in state in regards to talent, work ethic, heart. They are the whole package. Looking forward to seeing this two represent the black & gold.

Of course.

Great for our recruits! Still hurts to see 4 decent lineman leave CO (if they all do).

:lol::lol::lol:

Ok now can you answer the question

Scout ratings:

Miles 4 star #16 QB in the country

Apodaca 3 star #54 QB in the country

Rivals ratings:

Miles 4 star #2 dual threat QB in the country

Apodaca 2 star NR QB

Miles team has won 2 of the last 3 state championship.

Denverpost writer got issues.

I do not think you understand the point of selecting players for a high school all-state team. College potential and recruiting rankings are not the overriding factor in determining the best high school players.

So who is the better HS QB

Miles or Apodaca

Apodaca finished up his season with 3849 Passing Yards, 44 TD passes, 203 Rushing Yards, and this a completion % right around 70%. Thats a season that finishes top 10 in colorado history in passing yards, completion %, and TD's. Granted he is playing in 3A with less competition and playing in a more passer friendly offense but you can argue with those numbers.

And like it has been addressed before, there is a big difference between production and the potential of a prospect.

Apodaca led his team to the 3A title game and passed for over 3,800 yards, 44 TDs, and 10 INTs.

Miles' team was knocked out in the 5A quarterfinals and he passed for over 1,300 yards, 14 TDs, and 8 INTs.

Is it really that hard to believe that someone thinks Apodaca had the better season?

This year, it was Apodaca. 70% completion rate to go with 44 TDs against 10 INTs is hard to argue against.

Edit: BB beat me to the punch (and with more detail). ****er!

Yep playing against 3A schools.

Cyler Miles against better opposition

Passing 20 TD 2 Int
Rushing 6 TD

Total 26 TD 2 INT

Those are his junior year stats.

Not a surprise that Miles was named All-Colorado QB after that season. Unfortunately for him, his senior season was not nearly as good.

bigbang having a hard on for recruiting stars as all important =:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Back to Henington: look and the arms on this kid! He is going to rip some **** up! Can't wait to see him and Norgard kicking ass!

I'm very excited about both Henington and Norgard. Henington looks mean and I know Norgard is ready to tear things up. In terms of players we didn't get (unless things change between now and signing day), I agree that it's too bad we couldn't land any of the O-linemen. I also have a feeling Kevin Davis will be a good LB in college. Not sure what his stats were like this year, but I liked his highlights. Could take him a year or two, but I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being a great pick up for CSU. As for the future, let's get Fox, Parsons and B McDondle!

Cyler had about 14 passing TD and about 5-7 rushing TD, going up against the best competition in the state. No wonder HS sports in Colorado suck. Why don't they just rank the players for his division, it is highly unfair to compare a 3A QB numbers to a 5A QA stats.
