We would have probably recruited Connor Healy if he'd been a couple inches taller. Ended up at AFA.

Healy has two older brothers that have gone on to play college ball. He may have the best size of the three. Will be interesting to see how many in-state offers we extend for 2013 with limited numbers. Adam had a nice write-up on Healy today:

The staff really needs to start to close the borders. I wouldn't mind seeing half of next year's class come from in-state, with guys like Fox, Novak, Parsons, Lindsay, Berk, and Healy. There's enough talent in that group to make it worthwhile, imo.

Note buried at the bottom of a CSU article

The University of Colorado brought in many of their top junior and even sophomore targets to watch their spring game. Mullen linebacker Patrick Healy was one of them. "It went real well," he said. "I like it up there. It seems like they have things figured out and definitely are on the rise. ... I liked the trip a lot."

Saw Mullen/Grandview two years ago, and with all of the talent on the Mullen D, it seemed like every play on defense was made by one of the Healys. They really stood out.

Healy committed to the Zoomies at the end of May.

Belated congratulations!

He'll be a good player for AFA.
