Good interview that was recently done (thank you, BuffInVA):

Very interesting sequence of plays from Jesuit coming back and beating Colt Lyerla's powerhouse Hillsboro team in the Elite 8 of the state playoffs. Jesuit was trailing 25-21. First play doesn't matter. Second play was a trick play that was challenged on the question of whether the first pass went forward instead of being a lateral (thus an illegal double pass). Winterling makes an incredible 50 yard grab on the play and fights to get out of bounds. Next play is intercepted by Lyerla and returned 100 yards for a TD - but called back on a pass interference call (officials couldn't or wouldn't identify which player he called it on). Not shown, but Jesuit scored on the next play to win the game 28-21.

Winterling has had a great spring so far on the camp circuit. As reported in other threads, he was named to the All-Combine team at the Oregon Nike Camp. He followed that up by being named he ATH Rising Star at the Northwest Elite Football Camp the next week.

He will be visiting CU for the Elite Camp.

Adam would be a great catch for any school, we've been following Adam with Chasing the Dream which is posted every few weeks on Scout.com and he's the truth. My son has attended about 4 camps with Adam this summer and he is always a stand out. Shocked that he does not have an offer yet but they will come.

Some game film with some 7 on 7 drills.

Jesuit is the elite sports HS in the state. I'll have to see if I can get to a game or two this year.

Looks like he has pretty good athleticism for his size. A nice backup option if we miss out on Javon Williams/Connor Crane.

Hasn't signed. He's got a bunch of walk on opportunities in the Pac-12. Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

With the AFA offer he could still take it. They don't have numbers limitations since the athletes are getting the same deal as every other student. The only limitation they have is in how many they can get through the appointment process that otherwise wouldn't get admitted and that is set by the school.

With a Princeton offer along with the AFA offer it might be a reasonable assumption that he would qualify without special consideration. In the end if you get a chance to get an education at either of those schools for free it would be hard to turn down for a PWO shot at another school. I bet he ends up at AF in the end.
