Santa Margarita (Calif.) 2013 center Dane Crane picked up his first offer, from Colorado. Fourth Eagles OL to get a D-I offer...

He was second-team all-district as a junior on an OL that might send all five starters to D-1 schools.

No doubt. They rushed for over 3600 yards as a team against legit competition and won the Division 1 state championship.

Same high school that produced former Buff John Minardi, as well as Carson Palmer, among others.

Gotta love how early our staff gets on in quality talent. They appear to be awesome talent evaluators and also have good connections to get to recruits before other D1 schools get there. A lot of kids feel loyalty towards a school that first recognized their talent. The 2013 class will be the first class JE & Co will have had the opportunity to full develop a year in advance (i.e. already making offers to 2013 class before 2012 class has been signed).

Will be a smaller class next year but I bet it's going to be a good one, especially if we can also somehow get to a bowl game with our very young team this year.

I was gong to pose that question. How much does it help to be the first school to offer?

Good god can we sign all of that line? Crane is an obvious beast (nickname IHOP?) but all of those guys were quick, athletic and mean. I would love to get the embree 3guys from one team signing from that line.

Let's not start with the random "PM me" stuff in every thread.

The info that Darth alluded to will be on here soon enough.

This kid blows up three-techniques like it's his natural born calling! I know it's HS, but this kid snaps the ball and mauls quickly. His reflexes are elite. You don't see that kind of fast-twitch quickness that often for guys that big.

Great film, seems like he had someone on their back every play in there. That being said, only 1 or 2 clips of him pass blocking, and those clips were only 1 or 3 step drops where Crane took his guy to the ground and that was it. Would love to see more of him dissecting defenses and in pass protection. That was an impressive film to see how aggressive he is towards NG's and DT's. The hole created about 3:24 into the video is ridiculous. He seals off his man almost every time and once he's on a guy, takes him to the ground 90% of the time. I would absolutely love to have this guy here!

#Washington just became offer No. 2 for Santa Margarita (Calif.) center Dane Crane joining #Colorado

I suspect he will get a few more offers before the spring evaluation period ends.

He and Riley Sorenson (team mate) will visit over the weekend

He landed an offer from San Diego State today. We need to make a big impression this weekend because he could be the heir apparent to Gus Handler.

I just watched the video and this kid is insane, he looks like he could start as a freshman

Yeah, his offers are really starting to blow up. One of my top wants for this cycle.
