He also has plans to take unofficial visits to Wyoming, Colorado, and Colorado State next weekend.

CU is definitely interested. Rip Scherer had an in-home scheduled that he ended up having to cancel to go to Joe Pa's funeral.

From the film, I like the athleticism a lot and he throws a very catchable ball. I'm not crazy about the throwing mechanics and I didn't see him standing in the pocket and rifling it on time into tight spaces. There's definitely talent here that can be developed, but right now his game seems more suited to a wide open attack like Wyoming's. That said, I don't know what skills he showed at the Army All-America combine or the Stanford Elite 11.

With the group of young QBs we now have with Wood, Dillon, Hirsch, etc we don't neccessarily need a guy who is ready right away. If Scherer can find a guy who is less polished but has a higher ceiling with work and development we can afford to look that way now.

Not saying this guy fits that description, to hard to tell from one highlight video but our recruiting can be a little different at a number of positions this year in terms of priorities.

The QB we sign in this class needs to more than a project. The depth is still very suspect at that position.

Surprised he still isn't reporting any offers. Kid got invited to the regional Elite 11. I guarantee he's better than some of the QBs in the west who currently have offers.

Looks like a good prospect, another player I don't want at CSU. Has Kellen Moore accuracy.

this guy was definitely big on CU a few weeks ago. I was wearing a CU shirt for college colors day and one of his best friends came up to me and said that garretts goin to CU. This was also before the season started so he may be reconsidering

Still no offers. Maybe a PWO target. Walnut Creek was right in HCMM's back yard at SJSU.

Looks like a guy who is more comfortable being mobile than his 40 time would indicate. Moves well without losing sight of his objective of making the pass, will pull it down and effectively run when he needs to.

Wouldn't mind seeing him as a PWO, especially if we can clear out some of the logjam of QBs ahead of him on depth chart classwise.
