Looks like a prototypical Mike Backer. Great vision and closing speed to tackle. Love that kind of football player. The problem might be that in the PAC 12 he would be a liability in pass coverage. We'll see what the coaches think.

Looks pretty good to me. Seems to look in the backfield and diagnose the play pretty well, never really takes any false steps. Although there are some plays where it takes him a little too long to figure out what is going on. When blitzing, he gets in the backfield in a hurry and delivers a punch when hitting. Like him a lot, we will see how his senior year looks and I could see the Buffs offering this guy. 4.81 40 (we might need a little more speed than that in the PAC), but he seems to play faster than that on film.

my buddy was a 4.8 guy in high school and after the training in college he was a 4.6 guy. You can improve you speed, but it is much harder to improve your instincts.

Healy's teammate, Mullen linebacker Castille Bayers, is also getting a lot of attention from the Buffs as well. "Duke has been talking to me a lot lately," he said. "CU has been showing a lot of interest. The New Mexico coach said he'd come up for the spring evaluation. Arizona State is going to do the same as well."

Still no offers reported. I'm hoping we can get Bayers as a walk on. I think he could be another Jeff Smart for us.

Speaking of Smart, anyone know if he's returning for a 2nd year as a grad assistant?
