It's Utah week...

and I think they are still fuming over that 40 point blowout loss in Boulder.

They already released the article for the CU-UU game this week: http://utahutes.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/021312aaa.html

Still hope we are 5-0 against those suckers in football, men's basketball, and women's basketball this year.

They got the same frowny face that Husker & Sooner fans have:

I'd rather have it "boring" because we beat them all the time than for us to hate their guts because we only rarely beat them. Hopefully we're ready to go after a week off - we wouldn't be the first team to come out flat after a break like this.

Utah obviously faces a monumental rebuilding task in basketball, but they've certainly got history and tradition when it comes to hoops. They'll be back

I like how this is our only game this week. Hopefully, Dufault and the other guys can get themselves partially healed up ready for next week.

utah has been giving some teams a game lately, but still losing. hope it isn't even close this week.

Yes, led Oregon and Arizona for most of the games, but weren't able to hold on.

Main thing here is to make sure our smothering defense shows up. The Utes have trouble enough scoring as it is (336th in NCAA, 56.5 ppg), if we put in a great defensive effort, it's hard to imagine a loss.

Not so sure about that. It's not showing up on the link, and the home page schedule only has gametracker and audio links.

CUBuffs.com has it on FSN, so I would think ROOT or some equivalent.

The Utes just put two decent road games together and have looked better since kicking Jiggy Watkins off the team, this is a trap game for us.

No it's not. Utah is better than USC but worse than ASU. If we don't win by 15+ I'll be dissapointed.

Agreed abs.

Any conference road game against an inferior opponent is a trap game.

Utah has started playing a fundamentally-sound, risk-averse style.

They stay in front of you on defense, don't go for steals, give a bit of a cushion, and box out. They make you hit shots.

On offense, they space the floor, take a deliberate approach with the shot clock, and try to free up open looks from 3 or favorable post matchups, and get back on defense instead of crashing the board on misses.

Basically, it's like playing against Air Force. As long as you don't beat yourself, you should handle them.

It is bye week. We just happen to play Utah on Saturday.

Did anyone know that Rumble of the Rockies isn't limited to just football? It spans 11 sports and by sweeping both men's & women's basketball, we should have a good shot at winning year one this year. Those Utards did beat us in volleyball & soccer and probably will win the skiing part this year.

We got the better ski resorts & snow and I want to add on to why our state is better than that wasteland.

Meh. If we beat them in basketball and football year in and year out, do we truly care if they get us in soccer and skiing? (probably yes, but not very much)

Soccer? No.

Skiing? Yes.
