Davis just completed a huge junior season with over 2,600 yards rushing and 39 TDs, including a 321-yard/5 TD performance in Lincoln's first playoff game. He is likely to be a national recruit. His film is fun to watch.

Picking up offers from schools all over. Would love to see us enter the race here.

[h=1]Bringing it against the best[/h] [h=3]Stockton, Calif., RB Justin Davis seems to save his best for the biggest situations[/h]

After producing Oregon signee Byron Marshall last year, Northern California is again home to the state's premier tailback, as schools across the country will compete for Justin Davis (Stockton, Calif./Lincoln).

Davis rushed for 2,599 yards and scored 39 touchdowns last season on his way to being one of just two juniors named to ESPNHS' California All-State Football first-team offense. Most impressively, Davis did much of his damage against the top teams on the schedule, rushing for 195 yards and two touchdowns against Arik Armstead and Elk Grove Pleasant Grove and 264 yards and four scores against Shaq Thompson and Sacramento Grant. He had two games of more than 300 yards on the ground, including a five-touchdown performance, and he finished the year with a 219-yard, three-touchdown game in a playoff loss to Granite Bay.

He good. Now would be a good time to make a push. He has long favored USC, but the Trojans appear to be focusing their efforts on Ty Isaac out of Illinois.

Going to be a historically good class for USC. Maybe as many as ten top 100 players.

It sounds like most of the top CA RB's were waiting on (or hoping for) a USC offer. Now that Davis has committed, I'd expect most of those kids to move on and we could see the dominoes start to fall. I'm not sure how much that helps us at this point, but maybe the options for someone like Lee start to dry up if he doesn't commit soon?
