Women's Golf Tees off in National Championship Rounds

NCAA women's golf needs to hire a live blogger like Jason Sobel. We need an on course reporter to give those of us stuck in the workplace live updates.

Back to 13th, still sitting at +9. Is there a cut in collegiate team golf?
No. If they can pick up one more shot coming in they'd be top 10 (probably). There's no room for slipups because one golfer has shot her way out of it and her score won't count. The other four have to keep it at even par or better.

We just need our top four to go low. Glad to know they get to play through the weekend - hopefully they can crack that top ten heading in.

T11 currently.

A little shaky right now. Just posted three bogeys (one doesn't count.) Very impressive round by Virginia to go even par with only four golfers. One appears to have DQ'd.

UVA had one player scorch it at -6 today. Others stepped up and played good rounds, but one individual going lights out has a dramatic impact in this format.

Tweet, tweet. Back to +9 and in a tie for 11th with 2 players still on the course.

The Virginia player DQ'd herself for signing an incorrect scorecard.

Two golfers on the final hole, a par five. A birdie and a par gets them in the top 10. If Emily Talley birdies, she'll be top ten individually out of 125 golfers.

Tee time is 7:34 am Mountain Time tomorrow. Same link as OP should work (if not, I'll update it).

Double by Talley and 2 other Bogies have them at +5 today and in T16th at the moment. Hopefully, as they started early this morning, the later groups will come back to them as well.

Falling fast with the worst performance of all the teams on the course so far. +7 on the day and now in 20th place through a little over a third of the round.

Couple birdies got us to +5 on the day and into 16th.

Finish strong and we'll be in position for the final round.

Picked up another stroke to +4 and a tie for 15th with between 9-12 holes in the books for the day.

Birdies keep coming. +2 and tied for 12th (10-13 holes). 8 of the teams tied with or ahead of us haven't teed off yet.

Tough stretch of holes. Now +7 on the day, 19th place (13-16 holes).

Got 1 back, now at +6. If we can finish there, it's actually a very solid day. Not enough to challenge for that championship, but certainly positions us for a Top Ten finish.
