Exactly. CSU is awful, but a schedule like that gives them an pretty good shot to have some wins. I would expect 10 wins from CU if we had that schedule.
From week-to-week, generally they'll be facing a tougher opponent than their opponent will...
I wouldn't actually be surprised if they went 6-6 and didn't get to a bowl because of the ridiculously easy schedule. So a bowl game would actually be a mild surprise for me; a 6-6 record, not so much.

I've been visiting lambnation a bit recently because of the upcoming game. I saw this thread, and literally could not believe the level of delusion over there. This is is an all time high.

We have won 7 of the last 10 games at the lowest point in our history. Their program is as much of a train wreck as their conference. They make a fraction of the revenue that Colorado does, and they should be passing us by in relevance? Un-be-lie-va-ble!

You can be a realist without bashing a player. Personal attacks on players aren't tolerated here, and you're getting very close to that line at this point.

You got an infraction for calling him a name. I saw your post. You called him a name. That is considered a personal attack on a player. You need to learn to differentiate between stating your opinion, which is fine, and personally attacking the player.

Sparlkes has a bunch of problems. It starts with Fairchild leaving him a bunch of "talent" that was recruited away from FCS schools. Hawkins left us in bad shape by recruiting kids who were Sun Belt, MWC, WAC level instead of BigXII/PAC level. Fairchild did the same thing but instead to a buch of guys who were Big Sky or Missouri Valley level.
Then they lost their best defensive players, the couple who truly were legit BCS level playmakers to stupidity. Add some injuries and academic stuff and the cupboard is bare.
Sparkles also has the same attitude issues that Embree found last year. CSU has been 3-9 the last three years against a pathetic schedule. They have been beaten down so much they have come to expect it. Most games they have lost due to not having the talent but a number of games they have lost because they either didn't bother to show up or found a way to give it away. It is very hard to change that losing attitude and impossible to do it instantly. They have a bunch of players who will be looking for ways to lose, and finding them.
At the end of last year they couldn't sell 20,000 tickets to their supposive rival Wyoming and reports say there were less than 10,000 in the stadium. When they lose to the Buffs and if they lose to NDSU which is likely they may have more hot dog vendors in the stands than fans.

I would like to apologize for calling the starting QB a name. I will reserve further judgement until after the CSU game.
In my observation critical analysis is fine. Concern over 4-17? There's no need to shy away from that dialogue. "Scrub"? Bad.
Prediction: 20-7
Expecting our D to dominate, and our O to struggle but be good enough against a pretty poor team.

Like many other ABers I was disappointed Wood didn't take the reigns given his head start and his physical attributes. But, I also must agree with those who suggest that our early season chances just improved by going with Webb. He has a steep learning curve to grasp the whole offense and learn the nuances of his playmakers but he is a smart kid.
I would bet that we win this game and that it won't be close. I also think our run game is going to be good right out of the gates w/ a couple bruising FBs, a strong OL and some great RB's running all over the rammies.
On top of that, when CSU puts 8 defenders in the box, Webb will start picking them apart.
I am going to go with 31-10.
P.S. I forgot to mention, I think some of those points will com from, or at least be set up by, our much improved defense and/or special teams.
