Sorry the standings didn't come out the way it looked when I entered it

After the first round of the Tar Heel Invitational, the Buffs are currently tied for 16th but within reasonable distance of catching many of the other teams in the next 2 rounds.

In volleyball, the Buffs are currently down two sets to one (17-25, 17-25, 25-18).

It's going to a 5th set as the Buffs win the last one 25-21. For anyone without PAC-12 network the online stream is free.

Great job by the Buffs to complete the comeback by winning the final set 15-9 to improve to 3-4 in conference 13-6 overall.

That was a ton of fun to watch. When it comes to CU sports to watch, Volleyball might now be my #2 behind Men's Basketball.

Nice turnaround from last year as they've already more than doubled their wins

In tennis, the ITA Mountain Regional continued yesterday with two rounds of singles with Winde Janssens and Julyette Steur winning their 2nd round matches before losing in the 3rd.
2nd Round
Winde Janssens (CU) def. Annett Ferenczi-Bako (UNLV) 7-5, 4-6, 6-1
Julyette Steur (17-24) (CU) def. Alice Pacaut (NAU) 6-7, 6-1, 6-0

3rd Round
Michelle Okhremchuk (9-16) (UNR) def. Winde Janssens (CU) 6-2, 6-3
Desiree Tran (BYU) def. Julyette Steur (17-24) (CU) 7-6, 6-4

In Cross Country at the Pre-National Invitational, the men's team finished with 79 pts to win over BYU who finished 2nd and Oregon who finished 3rd. On the women's side, the Buffs finished with 273 pts tying Villanova for 7th place. At the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational, the men's team finished with 201 pts to finish in 6th place. The women finished in 6th as well with 187 pts.

In Soccer, the Buffs lost 2-0 to visiting Oregon St to stay winless in Pac 12 play at 0-5-1 and 6-6-3 overall.

In golf, the Buffs are currently tied for 17th with Michigan with a +47 going into tomorrow's final round. As bad as that sounds, we could still move up a few places with a good round.

In golf, the women had their best round of the tournament to finish in 17th which may sound bad but looking at how loaded the field was, it's respectable.

In tennis, yesterday were consolation matches at the Mountain Regional. Not sure if there are more today but I'll post the results if there are.
Singles
Sheila Smiley (UNR) def. Mazy Watrous (CU) 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8)
Ashley Tiefel (CU) def. Adriana Wojkowska (CSU) 6-3, 6-1
Carla Manzi (CU) def. Amber Stuhlmann (USU) 6-0, 6-2
Bobbie Oshiro (BSU) def. Erin Sanders (CU) 6-1, 6-4
Doubles
Sanders/Manzi (CU) def. Hoolahan/Walters-West (UNC) 9-7

Not as good of an outcome in volleyball today as we had yesterday as the Buffs lose in 4 sets (22-25, 16-25, 27-25, 16-25) to an Arizona team that is one of the weaker teams in conference. With the great depth of the Pac-12, there's not too many of these opportunities for wins.

i'm thinking cmgoods needs some rep for compiling all of this...

:gobuffs:

Thanks. I'll keep doing updates if you guys want. The only problem that I have is that I live in Atlanta and have Directv so I don't have many opportunities to actually watch so I can't give more details on what happens.

I enjoyed sitting second row behind the volleyball players very much

If I had it all to do over again, I would either of married a volleyball player, or dated many more of them. Those girls have the best legs.....
