The Spring Evaluation Period begins tomorrow and will run through the end of May. Very important time in recruiting because the assistant coaches actually get to check out recruits off-campus. We should see a lot of names pop up over the next several weeks. Here are some offensive players to keep an eye on:
QB
Christian Chapman (Carlsbad, CA): He is on the coaches' radar already and they will be visiting Carlsbad this week to see him. He has a live arm and can really sling it. The main question may be his actual size. He also seems to hold on to the ball a bit too long. To this point, Chapman only has a Washington State offer.

RB
Auston Anderson (Plano, TX): Anderson is definitely not under the radar, as he has several BCS offers. Good speed and seems to have a great burst when he hits the open field. He seems tailor-made for the spread offense and would add a dimension to our RBs that is lacking. Coach Jeffcoat also has ties to West Plano, as that is where his son Jackson played. I suspect Anderson's stock will soar during the evaluation period, particularly since he has been vocal about wanting to leave Texas to play college ball.

WR
T.V. Williams (McKinney, TX): A true burner at the wide receiver position, Williams has grabbed a handful of early BCS schools. When you watch the highlights, pretty clear that he can outrun just about everyone and is very dynamic. Also a good chance he will be a kick returner and punt returner as a senior. Another player who I suspect will have many more offers when June rolls around.

Don'yeh Patterson (Compton, CA): Big, physical wide receiver who has been getting attention from several schools in the PAC-12. Definitely the type of player most schools will want to size up in person before potentially offering. Speed is also a question mark here.

Donovan Walker (Chino Hills, CA): Walker has been a standout at various 7-on-7 tournaments this spring. Real lanky kid still growing into his body, so this is all about potential right now. The Bay area schools have shown some early interest.

TE
Bobby Okereke (Santa Ana, CA): For a team lacking athleticism and playmaking ability at the tight end position, Okereke seems like a perfect fit. He had almost 500 yards receiving as a junior, but his school is off the radar of college football programs. Very surprising to me he only has three offers to date. Washington has offered as an outside linebacker, but I actually like him as a tight end.

OL
Sean Krepsz (Riverside, CA): Big, strong, and athletic, Krepsz is one of those offensive line recruits that projects at several different offensive line positions. I really his film playing offensive tackle, but could easily see him moving inside. He has a few early offers, but I doubt that lasts for long. I could see him blowing up over the next couple months.

Kammy Delp (Pomona, CA): Huge kid out of the Inland Empire getting looks on both sides of the ball. Might be the type of player the coaches just recruit as an athlete and make the position decision when he gets on campus. Very physically imposing player and he plays with a mean streak. Expect most of the PAC-12 to offer when it is all said and done.

Patrick Lawrence (Waxahachie, TX): The ultimate developmental type of offensive tackle, Lawrence has the athleticism that OL coaches dream about. He also has the frame to add weight, an important consideration since he is all of 250 pounds right now. Waxahachie is just south of the DFW Metroplex and plays teams from there, so competition is not an issue. I really like his film and apparently so do several teams, as he has grabbed four early offers.

Kolton Miller (Roseville, CA): Mammoth offensive tackle out of the Sacramento area. Definitely has the size to be an impact tackle at the next level, but is also very raw and has solid, not spectacular, athleticism. He already has a handful of BCS offers and should get a lot of attention from PAC-12 schools.

I will have a list of defensive players tomorrow. We are still early in the recruiting cycle, so plenty of players yet to be discovered.
