Buffs defeat Air Force in Boulder this evening 2-0, putting CU at 3-0 for the first time in their history.

It wasn't until the 73rd minute that CU was able to get the ball into the back of the net, and it was senior Annie Stuller who did so collecting a ball the box and doing her thing by burying it. At that point the match was most likely over given the lack of quality chances by the Air Force.

A few minutes later Stuller took a very nice through ball from freshman Alex Hyun (Aussie U-20 national team) which put her clear on the ADA keeper and she calmly finished.

CU struggled for much of the match in terms of creating chances in the final third of the field. Part of this was due to AFA dedicating themselves to keeping a lot of players behind the ball.

Next up for the Buffs is St. Mary's College who lost to DU 0-2 tonight.

Impressive she only gave up two goals.

23 minutes left in the 1st half. The Buffs are already leading 1-0 because of a goal at the 4 minute mark by true freshman Brie Hooks. I believe that is her 4th goal of the year.

At 3:11 Brie Hooks scores her fourth goal in three games, with an assist from Anne Stuller. Buffs lead 1-0.

GGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2nd of the game and 5th of the season for Brie Hooks.

St Mary's putting some pressure on the Buffs but good defense from them

Brie Hooks with a yellow card at the 71 minute mark.

She's feisty, too.

I'd bet that the SMC players got a little chippy with her to try to get her off her game. She's got to mature and learn how to deal with that because she's a marked woman the rest of this season.

Shot just wide by St Mary's. About 7:45 remaining until the Buffs are 4-0.
