SDSU on 10/19?

Yes Please ! this sounds like a great plan. Then re-schedule fresno st. down the road a year or two. This game was a little scary with a senior QB on the roster as good as Carr.

Yes please. Oh how I loathe all things STDSU. If this happens, I will be wearing a Torero blue "Beat State, Kick Aztec" shirt and a CU hat that day

water, getting poured on this. Cold. Ask RK.

Could be one of those deals where the people involved are afraid of a story getting out, so they vehemently deny it?
Maybe? Hopefully?

It almost seems like it's too good to be true, though. It works too well.

I have a hard time with the idea that anybody could actually loathe SDSU. Seems like wasted energy to me. Of all the schools out there, you pick them to hate? I mean, I get the whole San Diego connection thing, but seriously, why go to the trouble of actually hating them?

Yeah. Just saw that on Rivals. Disappointing.

Loved the chatter about Idaho. They've got an open date on the 19th, but would need to petition the NCAA to allow them a 13th game.

There will be no outcry to have CU play a football game to replace one that was cancelled due to flooding. The NCAA has more important things to deal with, like ignoring Oklahoma State and Miami. It takes a lot of effort to ignore that kind of stuff. The NCAA is doing their best.

We will get stuck with an opponent that the mighty Broncos and peyton manning couldn't beat... and that game will be nationally televised evening game of course channeled directly into recruits homes and high school locker rooms. It has been going to good / we need to get bitch slapped back into reality.

I think Toledo already has a game that week.

Oh wow. Do they suck?

Maybe for the best...if you believe the D-bags at USA Today. According to them, SDSU (at 0-2) is ranked higher than CU, and therefore would probably beat us. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2013/09/16/fbs-rerank-1-125-week-three/2820213/

C'MON IDAHO!!!

Idaho would be great. FBS and a game we simply would not lose. They desperately need money, too. Grant that waiver NCAA

Their fans are receptive. They're not going to cost what SDSU would. NCAA grants the waiver, they'll do it, I'm telling you. Idaho is desperate for $$. They are going to win ~1 game this season and bowl eligibility is NOT a worry with them (and if it was, it doesn't matter because they're independent this year before re-joining the Sun-Belt and thus wouldn't be going to a bowl anyway).

San Diego State would probably cost a return game out there, and I think given the locale, there isn't a poster on this board who would not make that trip. I definitely would. As far as Idaho, if they're the only thing between us and (insert the name of your favorite FCS opponent here), let's do it. If they wanted us to go up there in return for them bailing us out, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Someone asked HCMM on his radio show tonight whether his post-practice comment today about 10-straight games meant a deal was done (okay--I asked the question through a tweet). He seemed non-committal, and said that Mr. George had a lot of phone calls to make in the morning. He also said that Chancellor DeStephano had been making multiple phone calls to Mr. Emmert at the NCAA to try to get necessary waivers to get a team permission to play 13 games. Seems they are working on multiple options. HCMM also said he has a strong desire for a 12-game season.

Well at least Emmert has some ties to CU and thus will be more likely to throw us (or our potential opponent) a waiver.
