Currently coaching at Loyola HS in Cali after being at USC from 2010 to 2012 (props to Phyltopia on Rivals). he was the RB coach and OC at USC at his last stop but he was also the special teams coach (and RB's coach) from 2001 to 2003. Here are the recruits he landed at USC...

2011
George Farmer
Marqise Lee
J.R. Tavai

2012
Justin Davis
Ty Isaac
Su'a Cravens

Yes it was at USC but that is some serious talent he has reeled in and that tells me he has a very good reputation in Southern California. Replace Neinas with Polamalu and make him the special teams/RB's coach.

Really like the sounds of this, but doesn't strike me as Big Mac's style to dump Neinas after one year and bring in a hired gun recruiter.

Special teams was the best part of yesterday's game (save for the fake punt).

Not against bringing in a high powered recruiter, just pointing out the fact that special teams is not the problem with this team right now.

I hope he isn't that locked into this staff and is willing to look at upgrades. Also, Neinas didn't come with him from SJSU - if Mac does look to upgrade the staff and bring in a big-time recruiter, that's the logical spot to look at...

They have gotten better, but we need a dynamic recruiter on this staff.

Jamie Christian or Derek Dooley

Dooley might not make it out of Dallas alive if Dez Bryant has anything to do with it. But really, I'd be happy with any of the three names mentioned. I do think we'll shake up the staff a little this offseason.

He use to coach at CU under Neuheisel and he was not very effective as a recruiter because he was always telling everyone how great USC was. I do think he has probably matured since then but I really think he is a California guy, he always wanted to go back to Cali when he was here. Plus he was RB coach in 97 and 98 when our running game went downhill. Reeling in serious talent at USC is not that hard.

I do not have a lot of fond memories of him from his time here.
