Georgia up big on Wofford at half

CSU playing like ass against UCCS but up 7 in the second half.

Games we care about: Friday, November 8

Air Force vs. Army (neutral site): Zoomies won 79-68 and will play a decent VMI squad on VMI's home court
CSU is playing a non-D1 game against UC Colorado Springs.
Elon is playing a non-D1 game against Washington & Lee.
Georgia is playing Wofford.
Kansas is playing UL-Monroe.
Oklahoma State is playing Miss Valley State.
Arizona State is playing UMBC.
Oregon is playing Georgetown. (Big one for Pac-12 RPI and perception.)
Utah is playing a non-D1 game against Evergreen State.
Jackson State is playing Southern Miss.
Tennessee Martin and Wyoming are playing. (Kind of a wash for us.)
USC is playing Utah State. (Big one for Pac-12 RPI.)
Arizona is playing Cal Poly.
Stanford is playing Bucknell. (Bucknell is sneaky good. Big game.)
Washington State is playing CS Bakersfield.
UCLA is playing Drexel.
Cal is playing Coppin State.
USCB is playing a non-D1 game against Hawaii Pacific.

Elon & CSU got their non-counting wins in blowouts.

Georgia ripped Wofford, 72-52.

Utah rolled in its non-counting game.

ASU destroyed UMBC.

Kansas and Oklahoma State took care of business.

Oregon and Georgetown in a dogfight. 63-61 with just under 7 minutes left.

Well it was nice to see Oregon pull out a win being undermanned without our main big guy. I must admit after seeing Joshua Smith I am happy he does not play for UCLA anymore. He seems rejuvenated and ready to dominate for the first time in a long time.

Jackson State had a surprising halftime lead before Southern Miss woodshedded them in the 2nd.

Oregon with a big win for the Pac-12 over Georgetown.

USC falls at Utah State.

Zona took care of Cal Poly (a little closer than it should have been, 73-62).

Stanford with a very solid win over Bucknell, 72-68.

Here's my worry about this OOC of ours: the quality teams we face are so good that we might not win any of them. Thus, last year we had a slew of solid OOC wins, this year we may not. We'll certainly get our bump for playing the best, but I just hope we actually have some W's to show for it.

Time to get to 5-1 (no stupid **** against Wyoming or Arkansas State) and then navigate that difficult 3 game stretch of Harvard, @ Air Force @ Colorado State. Set the goal of being 8-1 with KU visiting. I personally see us dropping one of those, but prove me wrong.

Washington State hung on to beat CS Bakersfield. Any Wazzu win is something to be thankful for as we hope they don't drag down Pac-12 RPI.

My bad I posted in the other thread but it belonged here. 20-36 from the FT line. Pretty disturbing but something that is definitely correctable. Miller teams have always shot at a high ft%. Little nervous about the backup pg. Mayes looked absolutely TERRIBLE at the point. I try not to be hard on college plays but wow.

For Saturday, the only game we care about is Air Force at VMI. Go Zoomies!

Games for Sunday, 11/10:

Elon is at Marist.
Harvard hosts Holy Cross.
Oregon State hosts Coppin State.
Washington hosts Seattle.

AFA falls to VMI, 63-71.

Not good for RPI, but unfortunately I saw that coming after yesterday. I'm certainly feeling confident about our game at Air Force. Just hope they can hang in the top 200 and not turn into a complete cupcake

VMI has some skill. This is from their game against The Citadel on Friday.

VMI plays a very up-tempo offense that scores in bunches. They're always near the top of the nation in ppg. It's very entertaining, they just don't play a lick of defense. 73-61 is a very, very low-scored game for them. AFA got their tempo, just couldn't capitalize.

When I was watching VMI on Friday (?) that true freshman PG is pretty damn good

In other news, Oregon State is really, really bad yet again (surprise, surprise). Currently getting their asses kicked by Coppin State, plenty of time left though

Elon crushed Marist, 75-48. That's going to be a challenging game the Buffs need to be ready for.

Harvard with a workmanlike 82-72 win over Holy Cross.

Oregon State is down 10 at home to Coppin State at the half.

Coppin State beats Oregon State, I don't even know where Coppin State is located.

How do you get a 36 point night from Roberto Nelson at home and still lose to Coppin State? Robinson should be absolutely ashamed at the defensive effort his squad gave tonight.

Horrid loss for Oregon State. Coppin State is from the MEAC, (the league that has given us Maryland-Eastern Shore).
