Transfer Opportunities Here

Sounds good to me. Other then Sefo no one else has really impressed or grabbed the reins. Would not be surprised if we have another QB transfer out anyways.

Ehhh...his numbers are actually lower than Sefo's and TT plays in an easier conference. My vote is that we march forward with what we have and see what a healthy Sefo can do with a full year under his belt.

He coughed up the ball a lot and got hit hard, not necessarily because it was his fault but rather due to a porous offensive line. He is a walk on who would now be expecting a scholarship, has to use his redshirt year to sit out in 2014, and has injury history and did not do well under pressure the second half of the season when he was able to play. We can't have this eating a scholly right now. Much more pressing needs.

He is likely not coming here but I think we should continue to look at all transfer opportunities to improve the team. He did lead Tech to a bowl berth as a true freshman.

The knocks against him according to Tech fans are the fumbles of course and that he doesn't have a big arm. Take it for what it is worth, I'm sure some of it is sour grapes now that he is leaving.

I'm all for bringing in anybody who will improve the team but I'm not sure that we want to become the destination for everyone who decided to leave somebody elses program.

One of the issues that has hurt us in recent year is continuity. I'd prefer to see us build a group of guys together over a period of time.

Apparently 6 gators are transferring. I would be interested to know the list.

Not much of a surprise. Muschamp is going to be gone along with his assistants if they don't have a serious change of fortunes next year. This probably means that any promises of playing time etc. when these guys were recruited are out the window as the staff tries to save their jobs. SEC type players take their football pretty seriously.

A little more info on the FLA guys...

I would be very interested in the TE and OL guys. Two of the OL guys would be available to play next season, as they graduated this past weekend.

You may have read this incorrectly, looks like only one O-lineman would be eligible right away: Silberman. We'll see if he's at all interested in moving across the country, but I don't think he will be. He was highly rater/recruited and he's from Florida. I'd expect him to latch on someplace else in the SEC or in that geographical area.

From the article... "Murphy and Silberman graduated Saturday and will transfer under the NCAA rule that allows graduate students to play immediately and not have to sit out a year."

You're correct, one OL and one of the QBs.

I would accept all 6 of those guys. Murphy could be decent with a change of scenery and the rest of them all come with higher offer lists than anyone else on our team.
