Buffaloes roam?

During a break in action at the UCLA game last night, Mrs. H and I were looking around the Coors Center and remarking at the text and graphics on the walls, notably the 'roaming' theme:
- Where legends roam
- Where clutch shots roam
- Where champions roam
- etc...


My wife starts this soliloquy:

well, roam is the operative verb that comes to mind when you think of a buffalo... I mean, it really is their modus operandi. When you think of a buffalo, you imagine this large beast roaming across the field, slowing ambling about as they wish... roaming is kind of a natural conclusion when you're discussing buffaloes.

Except for Ralphie at the football games -- that bitch does not roam.

My wife rules.

I know everyone is feeling anxiety and disappointment over the Dinwiddie injury and subsequent on-court performance of the team. Hope this is a welcome distraction -- I was busting up all last night. Go Buffs!

Is Mrs Hokie enjoying the games and atmosphere in Boulder?

As much as could be expected. You might see her reading a book during the game, but she did that when I dragged her to ACC games too. Even though our daughter (and money) are now going to CU, she hasn't been as quick to adopt the Buffs as I have ("but honey, it's important that we have an ACC team AND a Pac-12 team"). Fan atmosphere is great at Coors and Folsom -- and she's quick to criticize. We attended a lot of VT road games and she would always rate the crowd: so far, so good with CU!

We both love the area -- it's everything we hoped for. In three weeks we move out of this crappy 400 sq. ft. apartment and into our mountain home -- I expect we'll both love Colorado even more then!

Is Mrs Hokie enjoying the games and atmosphere in Boulder?

Hans Bjordahl's daily comic in the Colorado Daily just added to the richness of CU in the McCartney era.
I wonder if that Where the Buffalo Roam comic might have been an artistic inspiration for the creators of South Park.
