Yet another high level QB prospect out of California in the 2015 class. Impressive athleticism and a good arm should net Jones many scholarship offers as his junior year unfolds. Moreno Valley is 1-1 this season, but Jones had 430 yards passing and 5 TDs in that opening week win.

We must like. We have offered him along with two of his 2015 teammates.

Looks like the QB's that tOSU has had for he past decade. Even wearing the silver and red. He would destroy in our offense.

I am sure to most recruits Nebraska sounds better than Colorado as a football program because they were relevant more recently than we were. But honestly their program is not that good these days in one of the weaker Big5 conferences, they have an obnoxious coach who is on his way out, and it is freakin Lincoln Nebraska.

I would expect going forward CU will do fine competing head to head with Nebraska for West Coast recruits.

That we even have a legit shot at this kid is big news for us. We haven't gotten a QB like him in a loooong time. Obviously Wood was a top 5 pro-style QB coming out of HS with like 20 BCS offers, but this kid could easily be a 3 year starter for us and really move the needle for us.

We should have at least a 15 page thread on him by now :)

MM is putting the Buffs out there early. I love it. Kids with talent like this can get us back on top.

Did a little research and figured out who #4 was in Sheriron's video. He is Demore'ea Stringfellow who was a 4* and is at Washington and recently was suspended along w/ Cyler Miles.

That means that the video we have on Sheriron was his Sophomore tape. A more recent tape shows that Sheriron and fellow '15 recruit Cedric Peterson have a pretty damn good connection. Would be awesome to get both of them.

I thought that #4 was Marcus Young who was a SR. this past season. Here's his highlights:

Spoke with Rancho Verde offensive line coach Andre Smith, he said head coach Duffy was a little under the weather. Smith said he'd put Jones up there with the other West Coast QBs (Rosen, Barnett, White etc.) ... and that Jones is the best QB Rancho Verde has had in the six years he's been there. Smith also spoke about CU targets Cedric Peterson and Tevita Halalilo. Plan is for the three to play together in college, most likely in the Pac-12. Smith said Colorado has developed an early relationship with the trio and it could pay off.

Great stuff, KyleMC.

Really appreciate all you've been bringing to this board.

Please pay off, Please pay off, Please pay off, Please pay off, Please pay off, Please pay off!

You have to figure that when dealing with a trio of recruits/their families, staying close to home ends up being the most attractive option. After compromises over who may not be able to travel as much financially and how much more often they could come up and root for their kids, along with the fact that one of the three may not have the same level of opportunities will also help.
