Sure, the pundits slobber at the knob of Bachynski. He'll win Pac-12 Defensive POY.

But Jelly ****ing owned him tonight. Revenge is sweet.

I'll take Scott over any big man west of the Mississippi.

Frankly, I don't know that anyone is all that close.

Inside the arc he has the best overall game in the West, there are some good bigs but they can't shoot the 15-18 ft J like Josh which is what separates him from the rest. Usually if you see a big try to shoot it they look like they're in pain. If he continues to improve that shot and makes it 40% it will alter defenses to a point where the court will be so open he'll get a ton of assists. 2015 will be when he really makes his mark on the league, that and he's dang near bank from the FT which is another area bigs struggle. He always looks good doing it to...always tucking his shirt in...must be his upbringing.

that scary part (for the rest of the PAC12) is that he is only a sophmore.

SIR! YES,SIR! (USAF will do that to ya!)

Alan Williams had to be in the conversation and probably #1, but still wouldn't trade Josh and his future for him right now.

Most impressive about Josh is that he gets his stats in the context of the team, nothing is forced.

He also could be said to to be even more impressive in what he does that doesn't hit the stat line. His teammates get a lot of rebounds due to his blocking out, he sets very good screens, he is a good as almost any big man at helping out against the press. As a team I get frustrated with our inbounds against pressue but Josh seems to be one of our better inbounds passers.

You forgot the four fouls on Buttchinski. He was frustrated all night long. The extra muscle Jelly put on over the Summer really paid off. I was concerned going into this game without Gordon to add some beef down low. Turns out, Jelly held his own just fine. He out - Bachinski'd Bachinski.

Hard to know. We were supposed to get that matchup but AW didn't play.

Last night he owned Bachinski. I was waiting for the lost pony tail to try and lay him out again because Josh shut him down. Those two were as physical with each other as any two bigs I have seen this year and Jelly won almost every battle. Great night for Jelly!

Then why quote a marine? The AF is smart enough to not remind themselves twice that they are speaking to an officer.

You mean the (ch)air force? Okay.

Jelly looked damn good last night, glad I stayed up to watch the game. I know some are saying he needs to stick around for all four years and I hope he does, but I have serious doubts that he will.

First possession of the game, Bachinski just slammed an elbow into Scott's ribs. Scott looked at him and shoved him off the block. **** that guy, and it was wonderful to see.

I think my favorite was the comment from 850 that bitchinski was complaining that jelly was being too physical with him last night.....
seems to be able to dish it out, but doesnt want to take it. Those canadians sure have some fight in them.

Bachynski is the poster boy for being a fake tough bully. He can't handle it when someone is big & strong enough and fights him back.

Jelly's NBA stock just went up. No more questions about whether he can play the physical game anymore. Not too many holes in his game, period.

He is quickly silencing all the doubters. Its like he reads the boards and sees what people are questioning about him, then he goes out and proves people wrong. Too thin? Put on 35 lbs. Not explosive enough? Start dunking with regularity. Etc.

The west to me is west of the Rockies -- MTN/PST time zones for the most part, I don't think the Big 12 is the west.

Boulder isn't located West of the Rockies, fwiw.

From a national basis, St. Louis is considered the gateway to the West.

what potential NBA players has he gone up against?

Isiaah Austin Baylor (15 points, 11 boards
Embiid from KU (14 points, 4 boards)
Jordan Bachynski ASU (11 points, 7 boards and 13 points, 13 boards)
Kaleb Tarczewski UA (15 points, 11 boards)

am I missing anyone?
