2014 Pac12 tourney Non-Colorado games thread

Holding Washington to 27% shooting at the half. If Wilcox doesn't get hot, this one's over. UW's got to do a much better job on the glass, too.

Washington looks to be making a run.

Williams-Goss has been impressive in the 2nd half. Scoring, passing and forcing steals. Hell of a player who will lead that UW team next season.

Come on Utes. We want a squad that has a chance to knock off Zona. Utah has that small chance, Washington does not

This seems like a finisher for Romar.

I hope not. Romar's one of the good guys. And he can coach. He at least deserves 1 more year to try to get that ship righted. I mean, he built the damn ship.

Yeah, Romar should get a pass for this year. They lost their best big man early in the season, and so the odds of them going far were pretty low.

Need to turn it around soon though, as it's already 3 straight NIT appearances.

well now. Oregon state rallies back and goes into half down one. got a game in Vegas. Or another one.

Oregon took State's early punch, then State took Oregon's punch. Would be nice to see oregon lose, I can't stand to watch those bayloresque uniforms

It's going to come down to which team makes the other play its game. Beavs couldn't handle the Duck press. Ducks couldn't get comfortable against the Beav halfcourt sets.

Ugh. **** Oregon.

UCLA probably beats them tomorrow. Oregon needed double overtime to beat UCLA a couple weeks ago despite the Bruins having their top 2 players suspended for that one. (I'm assuming the UCLA that got drilled at Wazzu this past weekend doesn't show up). Should be a good game though.

Oregon's 8 game win streak is impressive but let's keep it in perspective: they only had 2 road games in that stretch (USC, and UCLA with their top 2 players out). Faced basement dwellers Oregon St x2, Wazzu, Washington. Beating Arizona in Eugene was great, but Zona had already won the conference regular season and didn't have much to play for.

Stanford leads Wazzu 35-28 at half. Cardinal are shooting 55% and have a significant edge on the boards. Makes you wonder if Wazzu could make a move if Stanford cools off in the second half

Stanford clinging to a 2 point lead, 8 mins remaining.

Stanford beats Wazzu 74-63, much closer game than final score indicates. No upsets today. We're due for a couple tomorrow. Let's hope one is 5 over 4 (even though 5 is actually the better team than 4).

I have a hard time rooting for either of these teams. But I suppose I should go for Utah

This is all part of Tad's master plan.

First he threw the 2nd half of the UA game at Coors.

Next, he kept the USC game close so the Buffs wouldn't look like much of a threat.

Then last night he had drunken CU fans making noise in the hotel hallway outside the Utah players' rooms to keep them up all night.

All to lull Zona into a false sense of security before the Buffs lay an epic beatdown on them tomorrow.
