SEATTLE, Wash. – The University of Colorado women’s tennis team dropped its ninth straight conference match of the season, falling 4-1 to the No. 48 ranked Washington Huskies, Saturday afternoon at the Bill Quillian Tennis Courts.
The Buffaloes (8-13, 0-9) claimed one singles point on the day as freshman Nuria Ormeño Ruiz rallied from a set down to defeat Julija Lukac, 2-6, 7-6, 6-3 at the No. 3 position. Ormeño Ruiz recorded her 19th singles victory of the year and her 10th dual win of the spring. Her 19 wins ties sophomore teammate Alex Aiello for the most wins on the team this season.
Ormeño Ruiz also tallied her team-best third Pac-12 singles victory.
