ESPN's Top 50 for 2014-2015

Impressive. We are in uncharted territory under the bball program! Lets hope Boyle can continue the momentum and get us some wins in March!!

I'm assuming this ranking was done with full knowledge that Spencer was going to the NBA, correct?

Correct.

EDIT - God dammit Nik, this is the second time you've beaten me in a post by seconds this afternoon. I'm gonna kick your ass here...

Man, that seems a little high. I'm not complaining, mind you. I think Collier is going to have to come of age very quickly in order for that ranking to hold.

It is high.

I could see us being a Sweet 16 team this year. But preseason? There are WAY too many questions. We're a tourney team. Anything beyond that depends on player development this summer and the frosh.

Here's how I can see the rationale.

Buffs went about .500 in Pac-12 without Spencer, including a road win at Stanford (a Sweet 16 team) at the end of the year. That team returns everything, get a year older, and adds two Top 150 recruits.

That said, CU would probably be in the 30-40 range if I did a preseason ranking.

Honestly don't think we're more than fringe top 25 at best. However those who have deduced that Spencer leaving means we'll be exactly what we were the last 2/3 of last season could not be more wrong.

Time flies. Seems like just yesterday I was selling Abs tickets I bought off of him in Tad's first year
you mean got for free? or did you pay for them and just try to unload them for more? cant remember.

CU is a trendy team now. Hard to say w/o knowing the full OOC schedule but still more likely that we finish top 25 than start as an official pre season top 25

Also SMU, Iowa st, Cuse, and Mich St will be ranked ahead of us to start. Crazy to rank us ahead. Michigan and UCONN will most likely get the benefit of the doubt too
