Height: 5-foot-9

HoopGurlz rating: 3*-90 grade; #16 PG

Reported Offers: Colorado

According to @prospectsnation, there is some positive news coming out of this past weekend. Alexis Robinson, a 5'9" PG from Ashland KY, has commited to Colorado. Here is her profile from prospectsnation.com: http://www.prospectsnation.com/player/alexis-robinson

Looks like a solid backcourt coming to CU with fellow '15 commit Kennedy Leonard. Can't wait to see the two of you on the court together. Go Buffs!!!

So that gives us 3 4* WBB point guards (assuming the 2015s sign this fall) : Brecca Thomas coming in this fall and Leonard and Robinson in fall 2015. I know Coach Finley said they were really looking for point guards and it looks like they have been successful. We sure need these good point guards to handle the ball, especially in pressure situations. Welcome ladies!!!!
Now coaches please find some more good players for these point guards to get the ball to for the 2014 and 2015 classes!

Here's an article from Kentucky about Robinson's commitment.

“I fell in love with the whole place, starting when I got there and saw the mountains,” Robinson said before Ashland’s practice Monday. “The facilities are beautiful; everything was nice. I had already talked to (head coach) Linda Lappe and we had a good connection out there. We really bonded. I believe in her.”

And other schools she considered.

Purdue, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Ball State and Oklahoma State, along with Marshall, are among other Division I programs that showed considerable interest. A member of Kentucky’s coaching staff attended Ashland’s most recent game.

Also, her high school team is called the Kittens. So there's that.

Here's a video from last year. Outdated and short, but it still gives you a little bit of a sense for her game.

She has a younger sister in 8th grade named Mykasa who is also quite good. Local paper called them the Swish Family Robinson. Hopefully, CU can build a family tradition of playing for the Buffs.

Another young woman who plays without fear. Again, must have grown up playing BB with the boys. She and Kennedy will be a great Buff tandem down the road.

Both Alexis and Kennedy will have a shot at immediate and plentiful playing time.

Welcome to her officially being signed to be a Buff!

How did you do that? :bang:

To embed a tweet:

1. Type "[" plus "tweet" plus "]"
2. Then copy in the numbers from the URL of the tweet
3. Finish with "[" plus "/" plus "tweet" plus "]"

Edit: Goose beat me and had clearer instructions.

Some coverage from her area.

The Ashland Independent (multi-page)

Ashland's coach says that Robinson is the hardest worker he's coached in 35 years, and that she's added 15-20 pounds of muscle. As for her role at CU:

“Mostly scoring, that’s what they want me to do there,” Robinson said.

The Huntington Herald-Dispatch

About visiting CU:

The Kentucky Miss Basketball candidate said it was all about the feel when she first stepped foot on campus.

"I was there my first time and I couldn't stop smiling," Robinson said. "It was just so much different than the other visits."

And about this season with Ashland:

"She knows what her goal is now -- that's to be in the history books for winning four regionals in a row," [Ashland Coach] Bradley said. "It's only happened once in the history of the whole region. No one has won four MVPs (of regionals) in a row, and she doesn't care about the MVP part, but to take four different teams to the finals with interchanging parts, that would be special to her."

I don't know how to embed twitter, but Alexis was nominated as a McDonald's All American and she scored 30 pts tonight!

Congrats to both Ms. Robinson and Kennedy Leonard for the McDonalds' All American nominations (Source- http://www.mcdonaldsallamerican.com...2015 Nominee List (Boys_Girls) FINAL 1.30.pdf ).

As to embedding tweets, I'm not the greatest at instructions, but here is what I have done to embed tweets (thanks to cmgoods who gave me initial instructions, sorry as this will probably just make things MORE confusing)-

1) For easy copying, I saved the following out as a file in some word or note file- [ tweet ]Tweet number[ /tweet ] , only remove ALL SPACES within both brackets. (The spaces are only included here because nothing shows up in this post if I didn't include them.)

2) When I want to embed a tweet, I 1st copy and paste that [tweet]Tweet number[/tweet] into the "Quick Reply" box in allbuffs.

3) In twitter, click on the "details" option/ link at the bottom of the specific tweet you want to embed. After doing that, in the address bar near the top of your browser window, there should be a long # (currently an ~18 digit number beginning with 5) at the end of the web address. Copy ONLY the long number and paste it over the "tweet number" part of what was pasted over to allbuffs step 2 (In between the ] and [/ ).

As an example, what is exactly entered in the quick reply box to embed the tweet in my post #17 above is this-
