Brooks: CU Volleyball Ready To Unveil Its Sister Act

Going to get to more matches this year. Something special may be brewing.

Said Taylor: “Oh my gosh, I’m thrilled, so excited. I talk to the coaches every day; we’re talking about a Final Four and national championship. I think this year that’s something that’s achievable. With the players we have here and the freshmen coming in, I think that’s something that’s not too far off. It should be a very exciting season and I can’t wait to get going.”

If you took a look at the roster, it has been updated for this coming season, with the 3 freshmen added, Chelsey Keoho removed (she transferred to Oregon) and one other name added that is rather familiar to CU WBB fans ... Rachel Hargis as a senior middle blocker. It must have been quite the summer for Hargis. She played VB in high school but the game has changed a bit in 4 years as well as the level of play and expectations going up a lot between HS and a PAC-12 team that won a round in the NCAAs last season with high aspirations for this season.

Any idea at who may be the Libero this season?

CC again?

Personally, I liked Richardson in the role last year--she provided a spark in my opinion. But coach made it clear that CC was her go to.

Yeah, I'm stupid. It's been too long and I forget about her and was only thinking of Richardson.

CC was the Libero last season .... likely why Keoho transferred...no playing time in her future here. Richardson was the defensive specialist who wold play back row for one of the outside hitters, usually Austin or Ortiz Ruiz. She has graduated so hopefully one of the other DS players will be able to step in and provide good back row play.
