Buffs offered after the Redlands satellite camp. We're in the lead here.

"Most of the schools that have offered me are pretty even to me so far. I would say Colorado is probably the best one so far but I am not really sure," Haigler said. "I want to take some official visits, see what these schools are like; see the campus, the area. I plan to decide later."

Could we see a commitment?

Mac seems to be searching for the Jason Witten types for TE. Keeney's about 6'6", Center's about 6'7". Both can move well for that size. Haigler would fit in great with this TE group.

QBs absolutely love those big targets. And in today's game, having a TE that can use his length and athleticism to get hands on a defender to block in the open field is much more important than finding a guy who can drive block.

Klopfenstein 2.0?

Sounds like he's playing LT this year for his HS. So maybe not a TE in college. Thinking more like Matt Lepsis, who probably would have played OL at CU in this day and age like he did in the pros.

If you're a Rivals subscriber, Adam just posted some good stuff.

You can definitely tell that he's put on a lot of weight since his junior season based on the two highlight films of him.

Just watched his film over on Rivals and he seems like he could be a total mauler at Tackle and I see him more there than at a TE. He appears to have a grunt lineman mentality. He is also a hussler and doesn´t ever give up on a play (at least in the video). He doesn´t appear to have the skillset to be a successful pass catching TE in the PAC (I could be wrong of course) but he looks like he would be a very athletic and excellent tackle.

Since he is going to play that for his HS this year, it should be fun to watch his highlight video this year.

Welcome to the Buffs young man, you have made a great decision.

Looks like a kid that fits the M2 profile. Later developing athlete who can do multiple things. Be interesting to see a 6'7" TE making grabs over the middle, or he develops into another tall athletic OT. Either way a lot of win in this one.

Once again Coach Mac finds a guy with the size to play a couple of positions depending on needs and what his strengths seem to be once he's fully grown and practicing on campus. Haven't officially read this anywhere but I'm guessing based on location that Bernardi did some scouting to identify this guy, and if so it adds to his growing contributions as a coach who can recruit. Welcome!
