BOULDER — The University of Colorado cross country teams sent a few athletes to a tune-up meet at the Colorado State Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo. on Friday night.

Both teams performed well. The women’s team placed first in the Division I team standings with 32 points, while the men were second with 37 points.

"Sent a few athletes"? What does that mean? Like we sent the JV squad?
 
Some times teams will send some runners to one meet and others to another on the same weekend.
