Boston College is thought to be the leader here. Sounds like Samuel wants to play P5 football.

His twitter has mentioned Michigan and Ole Miss checking him out recently. Reviews on his senior year have been good, with him transferring from Alemany and showing very well as a rangy corner against the WRs in Poly's league.

Toyoma and Walters are twitter followers of his.

Similar frame to Jimmy Smith coming out of high school (a little bigger), though Jimmy was probably faster and more heavily recruited. Still, looks to be a kid that would fit well into a press coverage scheme.

I've liked this kid for awhile now. Best case scenario he's a huge corner you put on big WRs. Worst case scenario he can't stick at corner and slides over to safety. Hope we can get him.

Long Beach to Ann Arbor is a huge cultural change.

I could see going to Mich if they were good like they have been in the past but he would be going to a place with bad weather, not highly interesting outside of campus, and not likely to be contending for much in the next few years. They are probably as far down as they have been in decades.

Michigan offer always has appeal.

This.

The only downside is if he commits to Hoke, will his commitment be honored by the next guy? No guarantees there. So while a Michigan offer is always good, in this particular case, I'd be cautious if I were him.

you can find something negative with just about any school in the country. that being said, largest stadium in college football, rabid fan base, loads of tradition, world class education. michigan will always be a big offer.

Even if the scholarship is honored there is also a question of how good a fit he will be for the next guys system. This isn't usually a problem for the top recruits because if you are elite then either you can fit into almost any system or they will make things work for you.

For a guy who is good but not in that elite status it isn't hard to end up being odd man out as the new staff brings in their guys and their way of doing things.

No doubt, that was a nightmare. I'm so glad we're past all that nonsense. Bad for kids, bad for fans.

UCLA joins Michigan and Washington State as new offers.

He's absolutely blowing up.

Who knows how it will all shake out, but the Rivals update was a little weird. The coaches told he had been offered a while ago, but now it is clear. Huh?

I know, right? The whole article was a little weird in regards to his approach to each team. Oh well. Either way, it sounds like CU has been after him for a while.
