When Elon at Duke is the best game of the night, it's another Small Monday.

Tuesday will be pretty lame, too, but the rest of the week through he weekend has interesting games as we twiddle our thumbs waiting for the CU-DePaul game next Monday.

I went to Elon @ Duke a few years ago, also near Xmas-time. My chief memory of that game were four Elon fans, wearing these ugly sweaters, each with a letter on it, arranged: E - L - O - N. At some point in the second half when the game was out of control, they re-ordered themselves: N - O - E - L.

That's creative. Very cool.

Nevermind Alabama is falling apart. Lol tie game with a minute to go. Been a good game to watch.

UConn just played an amazing half of defensive basketball against Duke... and they're still down by 5.

Didn't we have a Pac-12 team drop a game to Ole Miss this year? Ole Miss is down by 10 at home to Coastal Carolina with 14 minutes left.

NBA, but I'll put it here rather than start a new thread. OKC is playing lights out but Golden State is hanging in there. Durant has 18 points in 11 minutes of game time. Dre is killing it, too. 2-3 from the field plus 5 boards, 1 assist and 1 steal in 12 minutes.

Durant could go for 60 tonight.

Edit: Durant has 30 at half. Dre has 7 and 8.

Went to UVA/Cleveland St tonight. UVA is one of those teams at the level where they can sleepwalk and still win by 20. Bennett's pack line is so good it's almost unfair. 10 games in and opponents are averaging 48 ppg. Only one (Maryland) managed to get over 60 and Rutgers scored 26. I think what makes this team so dangerous is that if they need to they're plenty capable of scoring. There's firepower just about everywhere and a higher scoring game does not mean doom for them if they somehow got caught up in one against a Duke or UNC. I haven't been to a game in the Keg for a little while now, but man we really need to do something with our intros if nothing has changed. Having the lights go out with music blaring and the starters announced just gets that place rocking for tip off. I assume Duke has been on cruise control lately too looking at their scores. I'll still give Duke the ACC edge over UVA and Louisville given their win in Madison, but the gap is not large. May come down to which of the 3 is best able to handle business against the next tier of UNC, Miami, Notre Dame.

Also, Louisville hosts Kentucky next week. Holy **** that's going to be big time. Regular season game of the year on paper?

Does UVA play Duke twice?

Duke is built to destroy a pack line defense.

Not a good matchup for UVA.

Problem with Duke is they can bring guys off the damn bench and put up 20 on any given night. Their whole damn team can shoot. Now they have a stud in the post too. I like Kentucky a little better overall but Duke could beat them if they were on.

Wtf is going on at Miami? They just lost to Eastern Kentucky by 28. Also recently got killed by Green Bay. #18 and lose to Eastern Kentucky 72-44?

Saturday is a ridiculously good day for basketball.

10am: Louisville @ W Kentucky (FS1), VCU @ Cincinnati (ESPNU), SMU @ Michigan (ESPN2)
11am: Syracuse @ Villanova (Fox), Ohio State vs North Carolina (CBS), UMass @ Providence (CBSSN)
12pm: Vanderbilt @ GA Tech (ESPN3), Missouri vs Illinois (ESPN2)
12:30: Indiana vs Butler (FS1)
1:30: UCLA vs Kentucky (CBS)
3:00: Wake Forest vs Florida (FSN)
3:15: Purdue vs Notre Dame (BTN)
4pm: Xavier @ Auburn (SECN)
5pm: Texas A&M @ Kansas State (ESPNU)
5:30: Iowa vs N Iowa (BTN)
6pm: Long Beach State @ Texas (LHN)
7pm: Oklahoma vs Washington (ESPNU)
7:30: NC State vs West Virginia (ESPN2)
9:00: Stanford @ BYU (ESPNU)
9:30: Utah @ UNLV (ESPN2)

That's a great day of hoops in addition to the start of football bowl season. Coach potato heaven!

SMU won by 11 at Michigan. Michigan is now 6-5 and it's hard to see how they can make the Dance this year.

North Carolina looked good beating Ohio State. UNC might finally be getting it together. Tremendous talent this season.

Villanova used a very strong 2nd half to get to OT against Syracuse.

Virginia Tech avoids further embarrassment, squeaking by the Citadel

Izzo? What happened to you?

You just can't lose to Texas Southern, especially at home. Not like CU fans haven't been on those same ropes against them, but our Buffs took care of business in OT unlike Sparty.
