18 conference games.

1-0 with the UCLA win.

Pac-12 records under Tad:

2011-12 = 11-7
2012-13 = 10-8
2013-14 = 10-8

Pac-12 is down this year, but CU has been down this year so far too.

Does that balance out to about the norm of 10 or 11 wins?

Or do you think that CU fails to find itself while the rest of the conference improves, resulting in a losing Pac-12 season?

Or maybe the other way where CU improves and has a higher ceiling than conference mates?

9-9. I'm more encouraged after last night, but I think they've got a lot to sort out. The road games might be tough to watch.

I'm optimistic. I really didn't like a lot of what I saw against UCLA, but what I did like was that I saw the team fight for most of the game. I liked that I saw them overcome adversity by winning against a great rebounding team without Josh Scott in the lineup. I liked that the UCLA monkey is off our backs.

If this carries forward, then we're playing Tadball. Tadball is ugly at times, but it wins more than it loses. I'll bet on Tadball carrying the Buffs to another winning conference record and the additional firepower on offense plus a down Pac-12 delivering...

13-5 to put the Buffs right in position for a Dance bid heading into the Pac-12 tourney.

Tadball is damn ugly. It does win tho. Also, I saw signs of life from a few younguns against ucla

I am going optimistic with 12 and then head into Vegas with some momentum that they ride to the finals. Still looking for the NCAA tourney bid

I went low as I think a lot of other's struggles will be rectified. I'm not seeing it on our team.

Askia shooting 6 3-balls (and several very long 2's) is living/dying by the sword and I know the ending and it's not a happy one.

6-3 at home and 2-3 road wins.

Colorado is currently 5th in RPI for the Pac-12. The bottom 6 teams in this conference are dreadful. There is no reason they can't win 12-13 games.

I just don't think winning 12-13 games necessarily gets CU back in the tournament conversation. Depends who their wins are against. Need at minimum 3-4 wins agains the like of Arizona, Utah, Stanford and Washington. Winning the majority of the other games (even going 11-0), is not going to get CU in the tournament if they can't get at least 3 wins against the top

7. Just a hunch. I really thought CU could take the next step in the NCAAs this year but the team has partly regressed and partly failed to develop much.

To me, 7 would mean we regress. I'm skeptical of CU winning many road games, but if we only won 7 Pac games I think that would mean essentially going something like 0-9 or 1-8 on the road. I think we can do better than that. Outside of Arizona and Utah, this conference is mediocre to downright bad. Wazzu, Oregon State, USC, ASU are teams we *should* beat anywhere (agreed nothing is guaranteed). Oregon and UCLA are possibilities as well. I think we win at least 3 on the road.
