An article from the San Antonio newspaper...

Has us at #8 in the Big 12 and actually mentions bowl contention. Also has Hypolite and Dizon on the first team and Wheatley on the second team. I think it's pretty telling that we don't have any offensive players on the first or second team. Pretty much speaks to where we are right now.

All of our all Big 12 players are incoming freshmen - Miller, Obi, Celestine, Gates. I'm surprised they don't mention Walters. He's poised for a huge year, IMO.

Don't have a list of all the Big XII TEs in front of me, but I think Geer would be a pretty strong candidate for at least second team honors, especially if he has a real QB to get him the ball this year...

Rucker and Coffman for Mizzou (who are on this guy's first and second teams) put up some big numbers last year. They both had more than twice as many catches and yards as Geer did. Then there's Martellus Bennett at Texas A&M. He might end up being the top TE prospect in the 2008 Draft (if he leaves after his junior season) when it's all said and done. Seems like TE is pretty stacked in the Big 12.
