"I went up to CU with Milo [Hall] and got to go to the Washington game and be on the sidelines with them. It was cool to go to the CU game because I've also had a lot of contact with Washington as well. I was able to talk to both when I was there."

Any relation to Ken Marchiol of Dams St. Mesa and then New Orleans Saints? Looks like his kid to me. Definite resemblance.

6'3 220 as a sophomore, what are the odds this guy ends up as a DT? I'd say pretty good.

Word around Creek is there is no doubt he projects as a d lineman at the next level. Not very fast but can get away playing linebacker at the high school level because he is a great football player with good instincts.

So his P5 offers with 2 years left, include FSU, Louisville, Nebraska, Northwestern and Wisconsin.

This is the type of situation I would be worried about with CU not being in early. I'm sure they've spoken with him, but there are infinitely more intriguing programs that have already come a long way to offer and that list isn't staying small. CU has a potential ace in the hole with Logan being his coach (not saying it means a lot, but it can't hurt) and they need to be focusing on this kid for 2017. He and Moretti would be big time hauls for MM and the program.

Why not bring in Logan as WR coach, when Walters decides to leave?

The Dave Logan Paradox: he'd have to give up his HS coaching job and probably his job on 850 KOA in order to coach at the college level, and there are rumors that he's uninterested at anything less than a coordinator level job. But he's not going to jump to a P5 coordinator job from HS HC.

After visiting almost every major college football program in Texas, Marchiol might've just been convince to abandon Colorado.

"I'll probably go out of state… I like warm weather, but the Colorado schools were some of my first offers so I'm not counting them out. But I do really like the South."

Still a long time before NSD for him, but clearly he needs to convincing.

We need to win some games, period.

I agree that this would help with the majority of big in-state recruits, but sometimes these kids just want to try something different. It sounds like that is the case with Marchiol and I don't hold that against him.

Would love to see a "surprise" season out of the Buffs (getting to a bowl game with 7-8 wins) and the excitement generated around the state. Would get them back in the sports news around the area and make the in-state kids take notice. Just have to win.
