cubuffs CUBuffs.com: Buffs Visit Pearl Harbor, USS Arizona Memorial

Every American should visit the place once in their lifetime. It is a truly powerful place.

Glad to see that once they got back to the hotel after the visit, it was time for business. .

If you go, and you have the time, I highly recommend taking the bus over to Ford Island and checking out he USS Missouri. They have a little plaque at the spot where the Japanese signed the surrender documents. I've probably toured a half dozen decommissioned warships in my lifetime, but the Missouri is special.

Now they've officially been there as many or more times as anyone who lives in Hawaii.

It's probably like going to the Capitol Dome in Denver. We go as kids, but then never go back. I'll admit that I drag my friends who live on Oahu to Pearl Harbor every time I visit. They actually work just off the base, though. It's not a big deal to them.

Honestly, Ford Island is far more interesting. Lots to see and explore over there. The air museum is cool, too. They have flight simulators you can use. They claim the hangar where the museum is housed is actually haunted, but I didn't see anything unusual there.
