So volleyball is the 1st CU sport that opens Pac 12 play. Hope they take it to the Utes tomorrow!

The Buffs will hopefully be able to mark one (I'm assuming) team goal off their "bucket list" tomorrow- per the "Information Guide" ( http://www.cubuffs.com/fls/600/voll...8_all_time_series_standings.pdf?DB_OEM_ID=600 ), looks like the Buffs are 0-4 in Salt Lake City against the Utes since both joined the Pac, although the Buffs have shown fight, as the last 3 matches in SLC have included two 4 setters and one 5 setter.

I know this is to be televised on Pac 12 Rocky Mountain If anybody knows what channel that is on Dish, please let me know.

Buffs lose the 1st 25-17 after being tied at 15. (Some really bad passing giving the Utes 5 aces.)

Buffs up early 7-1 in the 2nd.

Buffs lose the big early lead in the 2nd, go down 19-15, show great fight to tie it at 21,but then lose 26-24 on a Ute block at game point.

Buffs come back and get set 3 25-21. Passing generally a lot better this set.

Alexis Austin with a great offensive match so far, already with ~16 kills and hitting ~.350.

Looked tired. Probably not smart to play 4 matches in two days before having travel to your first conference match. Bad news is that was probably the most winnable match in the first two weeks.

Is Kritza on the hot seat?

Does she need to find a way to win enough Pac-12 matches to make the NCAAs this season? Or did last year's tourney appearance earn some breathing room?

Tough loss for the Buffs in one of the few very winnable conference games of the season. If we can't beat a team like Utah, we may only finish above Oregon State at the end of the season.

Agreed. Watched Arizona-Arizona State match last night. Atmosphere was unreal at ASU--not like the atmosphere at Utah or in Boulder.
