I seen something on the USA today poll when I was reading it in the paper the other day and Colorado was 2nd I believe in being ranked in the Top 25 the most? I can't remember all of the stuff they said just thought you guys would like to know in case you didn't read it.

Maybe over the past 10-15 years or just in the 90's, but even that I would find hard to believe.

Actually CU did have one of the longest streaks going for a while in the '90's. They also had one of the longest bowl game winning streaks ever at 7 straight from '93-'99.

And CU was ranked a lot in the late 60's and 70's.

Ok, just looked. Since 1946, CU has been ranked for 225 games (not counting bye weeks). From '89-'97 the Buffs were ranked for 102 straight games they played in (not counting bye weeks). Don't know how that ranks with other schools, but 102 straight games is impressive.

Arkansas with a disproportionate losing %: 11-21-3. TTech also pretty low.

who woulda guessed both Michigan and tOSU with losing bowl records?

USA Today took over the coaches poll in 1991, so if they were talking just since 1991 then I could certainly see where CU is 2nd in that timeframe as far as being ranked.

Some facts according to last years media guide.

-From 1989-2005, CU had the 12th best record in CF with a 140-64-4 record.

-CU was 2nd in bowl wins in the 90's with a record of 7-2. Only Florida State had a better record at 8-2.

-CU is just one of three schools who have won a national title while playing the nations toughest schedule.

-The CU-Oregon game in 1979 was the FIRST ever college football game televised on ESPN.

-The Buffs have been televised either regionally or nationally in 130 of the 196 games from 1990-2005, thats 66%.

-There has been only one season in CF history where 3 teams form the same confrence have finished 1,2,3 in the nation. That was in 1971 with NU #1, OU #2, CU #3. CU's only two losses that season were to NU and OU. CU beat #9 LSU and #6 Ohio State both on the road.

I remember one year It was something like OU #1, NU #2, CU #4, Mizzou #8 and Iowa st. #11 or something along those lines

Gotta give Platti some serious props for digging out those kinds of details.
