In an interesting time choice, the Buffs' game against a TOUGH ASU team has just started in Tempe. Buffs are down 7-4 with about 4 minutes left in the 1st quarter.

Buffs going to have to play heavy catch-up, at they're down 15-6 at the end of quarter #1. Two of the main CU guards (Robinson and Thomas) already with 2 fouls, so I assume they may sit most if not all of the 2nd quarter, making any comeback even tougher.

Looking ahead to future games, at least one potentially good sign- Jamie Swan has been able to play a little (4 minutes), although it doesn't look like she started.

In another 10 minutes or so, the Buffs will be 0-5 in the Pac 12. I hope I am seeing the handwriting on the wall as for Lappe. This team can't score, can't shoot and turns the ball over too much. Jamee Swan is playing, though probably not at 100%.

It makes me sad for the program and players.

what the hell is going on? I have not been following but seeing the last two games, I imagine that HCLL is losing the team.

So sad to see this. What a horrible result. Can Arizona save CU from finishing 0-for-PAC 12?

I would think the team is lost to the head coach. Agree it's hopelessly lost now and it's time for change. Just hope Rick George sees it the same way. 37 points is embarrassing.

No player hit double figures. Team shot 25.5% and had 21 turnovers.

Bri Watts didn't play according to live stats, but I don't think it mattered.

Stats like that go way beyond a talent deficiency with a short bench. Valuing the ball and having good flow & movement to the offense to get good shots is coaching.

Coaching is the key word here. Somebody else had a twitter exchange with Brian Howell saying that Lappe knows what to do but is too proud to do it. Howell challenged him as to what that was but received no public reply.

I would guess that there won't be a change during the season.
As for Lappe having "lost" the team I am not sure about that either. It's more a matter of youth and lack of talent/depth.

I don't see a change during the season either. If I was one of the assistant coaches, I'd have my resume out there so I'm ready to jump at the end of the season.

A true catch 22; wait to make a change and the current situation gets worse, you have a higher risk of key players transferring and recruits walking away. Do it now and you have to bridge the next 7 weeks.

So what to do? What is the answer? Need to keep Leonard and Robinson. Huggins won't leave as she only has one year of eligibility left. She might quit, but wouldn't transfer. Some players would probably have no school who wants them, but Leonard and Robinson could go to other schools.
