Way too Early Top 25

That surprises me. Considering the lack of hype we got last year, and we lost our best player, I figured we'd be projected to finish around 7th in the P12 again. It's only one guy, but that's nice to see.

White and XJ. So excited for next season. This team has huge possibilities for taking the next step. Also, Villanova is a prime example of what can be done with 1 big and very good guards plus combos. #TadBall

Yeah. I think XJ is the big deal here. In terms of productivity, you figure XJ is a 12 & 6 guy. J40 was a 16 & 9 guy.

So we're trying to replace 4 points and 3 rebounds. Then you've got the XT loss at 5p / 2.5r / 2a. So we need to find 9 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists from White, the other 4 newcomers and improvement from the returning roster (Wes, Tory, Dom, Fortune, King, Thomas).

White should handle that and more on his own.

Anyway, we're looking at having a lot more firepower and athleticism next season to go along with a lot more maturity with the guard play.

I love the potential of this team and do see a group that should be ranked in the Top 25.

Some serious maturity it seems from XJ on his instagram.

Been a long and painful journey... When you've been out this long from the game you get to thinking a lot about your life and career. I'm blessed to be able to play the game again. Getting back to working out has been a blessing. So if your out there taking time off.. Don't. Work harder because you never know when your last day of any sport will be. #NewFoundHunger#TheCreator

I still don't buy the USC hype.

Still, and I know the PAC 12 isn't divided into divisions for basketball, but there are five PAC 12 teams on his list, and four of them are in the South. I suppose it's a good thing, then, that we only play the southern teams once each next year (excepting Utah). Weird how that schedule works out.

USC lost a ton to attrition this offseason. Boatwright, McLaughlin and Jovanovic is a very strong core to a team, though. I expect them to be in the Dance next March.

What attrition? Only senior is @RumblinBuff's favorite Gavrilovic. Reinhardt is technically a loss, but only technically. And they're bringing in former Louisville player Shaq Aaron. USC is 100% legit next year.

Wisconsin at 7? I don't get that at all, regardless of not losing anyone. Watching them was ugly basketball.

Looks like Julian Jacobs is going to go to the NBA.

Was kind of hoping it would be a secret... would love to sneak up on the Conference. Oh Well. Bring on the top 25.

Interesting. I didn't hear that. Then again, with everyone declaring with the new rules a lot is getting lost. That'd be a big loss, but I still like that team.

#22 Colorado vs #6 Xavier at CEC on December 7th. Big time game. Should be a big time atmosphere. #IsItNovemberYet

Don't want to get too carried away with hype, but I genuinely feel this is our best team yet if we stay healthy and gel. Love the early OOC signs. We've got to capitalize

I love the optimism in this thread, but not to be a Debbie Downer...I'm tempering my expectations next year. I'm not the BIGGEST Scott fan, although I definitely appreciate all he did for CU. However, even I have to admit he brought a lot to the table, and without much improved guard play, I don't see us being better next year. Of course, I'm hoping that Dom does provide that improved guard play.

To your point, I think a good deal of optimism is the potential for good guard play. With White and Peters coming on along with Dom and AK with another year under their belt, the potential is definitely there.

• Looking for an under-the-radar transfer for next season? Try Colorado's Derrick White. The 6-5 guard was a Division II All-American at UC Colorado Springs and averaged 25.8 points during the 2014-15 season. He'll join a strong perimeter nucleus for the Buffaloes that already features Josh Fortune, George King, and Xavier Johnson.
