The only time I feel bad for college students is during finals. So for the other 50 weeks of the year, I don't want to hear any complaining! College was fun as hell!

My biggest problem is trying to figure out what to serve for the 10:00 am kickoff party at my house!

Normally I have a brat-fest, but who wants/needs brats at 10 in the morning? I"m thinking about scrambling some eggs/cheese/sausage for the pre-game, then doing the brats around halftime for lunch.

What do you think?

Do up some egg & bagel sandwiches the night before. They reheat easily and then you won't be cooking the whole game.

2 parts Vodka
1 part OJ

That is all you need.

You're missing the far more important act of scoping out the fresh meat that just arrived on campus! I absolutely loved the first few weeks of school each year!

92 (wearing his blazer over his polo shirt and carrying a pipe):

"excuse me, miss, but aren't you sofia van buhl?"

wide-eyed frosh, wandering around the umc aimlessly:

"uh, no... i don't know who that is..."

92:

"oh, i'm sorry. you bear a remarkable resemblance to a well-known teen feminist author that i admire. i guess it is your striking demeanor that confused me."

frosh:

"uh, ok... do you know how i get to old main from here?"

92:

"of course, allow me to escort you... what class are you taking there?"

etc. etc. etc.

Black & Gold
From Colleen Graham,
Your Guide to Cocktails.

A Black & Gold is a super easy cocktail that makes a dramatic statement, both in taste and look. It features Blavod Vodka, which is black, and Goldschlager, that luxury cinammon liqueur with the gold flake floating around inside. The result is a beautiful, black and gold cocktail with the flavor of cinnamon.
INGREDIENTS:
• 2 oz Blavod vodka
• 1 oz Goldschlager

Black Gold
• 4 oz Hot Coffee
• 1/4 oz Triple Sec
• 1/4 oz Amaretto
• 1/4 oz Irish Cream
• 1/4 oz Hazelnut Liqueur
• 1 splash Cinnamon Schnapps
Combine all ingredients in a mug. Stir. Top with whipped cream.

Black and Tan
Black and Tan is a drink made from a blend of pale ale and a dark beer such as a stout or porter. Sometimes a pale lager is used instead of ale; this is more usually called a half and half. In Ireland both Stout and Ale drinkers may order a black and tan for variety. Contrary to popular belief, however, Black and Tan is not a drink commonly consumed in Ireland.
