Douche Bag Michigan thread...

I don't like to bash the school that gave us Bill McCartney. jmho.
A big congrats to Appalachian St. HUGE win.

Go Blue looked really out of sorts. Appy won it all last year I believe and they obviously still have a good team intact. I can't imagine what it must be like to come from a little 1AA program and go to one of the most hallowed stadiums in college football and beat the home team.

poor blue. there is no way i would rail on em for what happened.

michigan, as noted, gave us coach mac, and they also offer me much enjoyment every time they beat the luckeyes.

the only good thing about Michigan losing yesterday is that
CU's loss to Montana St is on the back burner.

I think this loss for Michigan may have caused coach Carr to be on borrowed time.

I read a couple of articles on this today and it sounds like App State was indeed on cloud 9 after this one. Students tore down the goalposts in Boone and after carrying them around town, they left the posts on the front lawn of the chancellor's house and even the police thought it was a good idea. The team flew into some town about 50 miles away and when the buses were like 10 miles outside of Boone they were greeted by a caravan of about 15 firetrucks and police cars with their sirens going and escorted the buses back to campus, where of course a bunch of students were awaiting their arrival.

It's things like this that make college football so great. Damm I love this sport!!

BTW, App State has won the last 2 I-AA national titles.

That's awesome. I argue at work all the time on College vs Pro. I mentioned on another thread that Pederson(BSU) name has already been thrown around to replace Carr.

App States recruiting just went up! Congrats to them, they sure the hell deserved that win!

This win is giving them more publicity then they probably ever imagined, they've been talking about this game all weekend on ESPN and I'm sure all over the country too. I just saw another feature on the upset a few minutes ago on Sportscenter.

Did anyone happen to catch the end of College Football Final last night when Mark May and Holtz give out their "helmet stickers" to the top performers of the day? They gave one to the ASU guy who blocked the FG but ESPN didn't even an ASU helmet so they just had to use a generic one with an ESPN logo on it.

Yes thus the point of CU great Miracle! Folks I have serious ties to UM..or at least my family does! My mom and brothers went to Michigan! Not to mention I almost went there! My Grand dad did one of the stadium extensions from 58K to 82K back in the late 60's or early 70's I forget exactly! The point is that after CU's lost to MSU last year I,We,they get it!! Life's symbolic jokes I guess!

I ment to say her brothers,my uncles!

Mac chose CU, screw Michigan. I have never been a big Michigan fan. I have to say that that game made me feel better in a sick way in that it looked worse than us losing to MSU. It also may keep the national media from writing "but they lost to MSU" every time they write about CU. I also love seeing the David vs Goliath upsets (as long as CU isn't involved), it is one of the things that makes college football so great.

Here is a sign of how bad things are in Ann Arbor, over on the Michigan board, posters are saying that Cally would be a coach that would be a step up for Mich.
