Yes, FSU is much more talented than CU.
Yes, FSU has much more depth than CU.
Yes, FSU should win this game on paper.

However, I think CU stands a great chance in this game for several reasons.

1. FSU is just not who they used to be. They could very well be 0-2, as they almost lost at home to 0-2 UAB. They barely had a winning season last year. It is obvious, that the Noles are not the power they once were.

2. The home opener for CU, it will be a late nigt game, the students will be wild and loud, the team should be pumped up despite the tough loss to ASU.

3. 8 PM MST kockoff, means this game should be getting over at about 1:30 in the morning Florida time, add that with the altitude, and this is something that FSU is not used too. I can see FSU getting worn out in this game.

4. CU returns some stars who did not play against ASU in Sipili, J-Fly, and Hugh. It will be a big help to have them back.

5. CU did not execute plays against ASU. 2 dropped for sure TD passes and one fake punt that would have worked had the punter knew how to throw.

I think this is a great oppotunity for Colorado to make a statement, national TV, chance to go to 2-1, which would likely make them 3-1 in OOC.

I think the buffs pull this out.
CU 24 FSU 21

CU- 34
FSU- 24

378 total O for the Buffs. Just think that they make those catches and keep pressure on the FSU O all night.

'4. CU returns some stars who did not play against ASU in Sipili, J-Fly, and Hugh. It will be a big help to have them back.'

What is the word on that? I though that Sipili was out until the MofO game, and there was no word on Hugh and J-Fly for sure, which I took to mean, 'Not for a week or two after we get positive about their progress'.

Buffs 19
Noles 17

Offense 298

I think this has become a very important game for the Buffs.

I think FSU will be ASU on steroids - big, athletic and undisciplined. The late game won't bother them - they are usually just going clubbing at that hour anyway. Hope I am wrong - never root for a Florida school under any circumstances: FSU 34 CU 14. But......go Buffs

Do you guys think FSU will be able to handle the cold? It's supposed to be 79 on Saturday. Hell, it may be in the low 70's to high 60's during the game. Will there receivers be able to hold onto the ball?

28-27 Buffs!!!

The receivers will be running a lot of laps and will not drop Cody's TD passes. D steps up and O line performs better. Plus returning starters should help. FSU will not be used to the altitude or the late night colder game.

buffs hitting on all cylinders in the home opener on a starry night in boulder...
