If we go into stanford and lose, would you be disappointed?

I had this written off as a loss pre-season, but now I fully expect that we are going to win...and win pretty decidedly.

I don't expect a victory like we had against ASU, but I can see a 14-17 point win for us if we play the way we can play. Even if McCaffery plays, I don't think it will matter THAT much with our D. Their backup RB is solid enough that it seems lik ethey don't need him as much as last year.

I think if we lose, I'll be ticked, but if we play well and just get outplayed I could accept that.
If we win, I'll smile knowingly and make preparations for the Pac12 Championship Party. ;)

depends...

play a hard fought game without stupid mistakes and end up losing to a team that performs better and that's acceptable..
turn the ball over, have the special teams s hit the bed and give it away and I'll be ****ing pissed

Yes- Based on what CU has done this year compared to how Stanford has played this is a must win game for CU to show everyone they have taken the next step.

If anyone cares about moral victories, I don't know what to say.

This is a damn good team that is the better team in all remaining games.

If they lose, have enough respect for the team and the program to get pissed.
ayyy

I'm very concerned about this game - much like I was with the USC game. But the way I feel today versus the beginning of the season is substantially different like all the rest on AllBuffs. I certainly have higher expectations. Here's how I suspect I'll react:

Blowout by CU: ecstatic, borderline cocky
Narrow Victory by CU: ecstatic, Rose Bowl chatter will increase substantially
Narrow Loss by CU: mildly disappointed but with continued hope to win the South
Large Loss by CU: very disappointed, focus will change back to bowl eligibility

Just win.

Unless it is a complete disaster I won't be angry, but definitely disappointed. A win in Cali would be huge for recruiting and for our alumni out there. Need to kick stanford while they are down.

Mine was more if we lost by a last second fg. Then I'd be both disappointed and pissed. If we just play like rotten ass, it would be straight pissed. I don't see that though.

Disappointed. They have an opportunity to get the bowl monkey of their back now, get back into the top 25, rest up for a the bye week, and come back refreshed and ready to make a push for the P12 CG and a top 10-15 season-ending ranking.

I'd be disappointed as I think if we play Colorado football we should win by 2 scores. Big IF on the road. I won't be pissed...despite their faltering a bit lately, they are a good team.

Yes, as we are good enough to beat them. That said, even with a loss, we are still in good shape in the South. We really need to break this California losing streak though and the time is ripe

I will be pissed if we go in there and don't play our brand of football...I felt we didn't play Colorado ball a bit with USC...even with their better talent taken into account.

THIS! U$C still intimidated the Buffs a bit, to the point the "O" huddled up and didn't truly play BuffBall.
If they lose, it will be interesting to see who Duff throws under the bus.

You tell em Herm! Yes, I will be pissed if we stumble in Palo Alto tomorrow. The trees are not who we thought they were, and we better not let em off the hook.

Not really, one more win and they are above my expectation for the year so I'm not going to raise expectations like that mid season. I look at it as winning there is icing on the cake and if they win at Stanford, then come home and beat UCLA going into the bye week I am booking my tickets to San Jose.

I will be extremely disappointed if CU wins loses this game, even though in the score prediction thread I picked Stanford to win.

EDIT
Don't you hate Friday afternoon typos???

Bye week is next week. They need to get bowl eligible with this game or UCLA, IMO. If they don't, there will be a lot of doubt and nervousness going into the last 3 weeks against 2 pretty good teams and a road game.

Meh...the game is on the road, against a very good Stanford side (especially if McCaffrey plays). I expected a loss at Michigan and USC, and I expect a loss in this game as well. But as I said the USC thread...if CU wins this one, I'm drinking the Kool-Aid out of a three story, frat house beer bong.

Sorry, but either way I don't really care, I am almost 100% confident the Buffs can get one win out of home games against UCLA, WSU and Utah and a road game against Zona. No doubt will creep in for me.
