No Baylor TV coverage?

I can’t believe the Buff game was not selected for TV this weekend. What a fan and recruiting killer. How much longer do the buff fans have to put up with the horrible TV contracts? And, why can’t they put the away games on Buff TV and/or closed circuit at the stadium? I would watch a stationary camera with no audio. The person that agreed to the current Big 12 TV contracts should be flogged.

I don't like the memories of the last TV Baylor game, so I'm indifferent on this one.. KjSU game was picked up and I think we have a shot that the Kansas game will be on too..

actually its one of the better TV contracts per conference. a ****ty contract would be the Big 10's. the problem you have here is the RRSO, ags/pokes, ksu/ku game, and the knu/mizzery game... those 4 games generate a larger tv audience seperately than a CU/Baylor game.... hence why TTech and ISU arent on TV either....

my take, keep winning like you did Saturday past and TV time will increase.....

Can't believe you expected it to be? Two unranked teams and one being Baylor?

D'oh. But my TV broadcasts 1,200 channels.

(Groan) Stuck watching 'em sell cubic zirconia again on QVC.

THIS IS AMERICA, damn it!

Guess I better go to Waco!

I know it sucks man...didn't get to see the skers play ISucks last weekend and had to listen to a ****in net radio broadcast. At least you should get the win pretty easily.

I dunno though...this year has been ****ing strange im not counting anyone out

Any contract that doesn't allow local broadcasts for games that are not on anywhere else is a ****ty tv contract.

agreed it sucks..... but it all has to do with tv rights, and ESPN, ABC, CBS, Fox Sports seem to control those for college football.... what about PPV as an option for local broadcast?? cost is less than a ticket.... several Big XII OOC games this year were PPV already....

I ended up clicking on a yahoo!sports broadcast of a Buffs game that wasn't televised last year. I'm such a sucker b/c I've been paying a $5.95 subscription charge ever since. What a crock!

You can't get it free through local radio net broadcasts? All the Skers games are on Huskers.com. Or are you guys talking about Video?

I was suckered. The KOA radio 85 web site is the best place to catch non-televised games on the web IMO, and it's free. The fres yahoo box score adds an adequate visual. If there are better Internet options, I'm all ears.

With a big win your bubble fans and recruits take notice of your program. To follow that up with no TV coverage is a killer.

Kameltosis TV is short for television. Oh by the way, televisions that are not broken show movin pictures. :)

The day NU gets shut out of TV coverage then you can talk.

Don't be a dick berry...Some ppl were talking TV and some Radio..but mostly the word 'broadcast' was being used, I was just curious if they were finding online TV converage of the game or having to pay for Radio.

Jeez

Kameltosis relax, just yanking your chain. did you see the :)

Current contracts don't allow any VIDEO broadcast of games not selected.

PS. Other then your ppls, all the others have the word TV or Television. Know what your saying before you attack.

Why doen't this iPhone come with video transmission? In a few more years, people will be beaming tv out of the stadiums on their cell phones. That will present a challenge to the TV folks.

iPhone is garbage...although it's a little better now that it's cheaper. I just ****ing hate AT&T. Verizon where it's at.

No way. 75% of my posts are from iPhone. I have zero TREO or Verizon envy.

total thread jack time - I won't buy the iPhone simply because it's on AT&T and not available on Verizon. I'm perfectly happy with the Treo and will keep it until iPhone is Verizon compatable.

Last year cubuffs.com ran an internet feed of the Montana State game, with the KOA audio and the stadium video. Did they kill that experiment off?

That seem like a good way to get these "lesser" games some airtime and get more exposure for the B12. The stadium video these days is almost as good as the TV, let fams chose the home or away audio feed and go net broadcast!

And when I say lesser, I mean in the TV netowrk's eyes. I'd watch CU play the most obscure college over most other games any day of the week.

The point shouldn't be AT&T versus Verizon. That is a thred jack.

It's about being able to use a web cam at the Baylor game through a wireless divice.

Its's going to happen.

espn/abc, and fsn have to approve any online streaming of buffs' football games online.

I read somewhere that the 850KOA broadcast of the game might be cancelled/moved if the Rockies make the playoffs... Any word on if this is true?

I have thought for years that CU should create a gameday web based tv broad cast done entirely by broadcast journalism students. They wouldn't accept any advertising and would be completely put on by amatures. I don't see how this would interfere with the conference contract.

Before the Big 12 was formed any CU game that wasn't picked up by a network was allowed to be picked up by local TV, and I remember Channel 4 carrying quite a few CU games in the late's 80's/early 90s.

KOA has 1 or 2 other AM frequencies. They have been broadcasting Hawkins show on Wednesdays on 650, or something like that.

Because if they're putting it out there for free and they're charging for it, then they'd undercut the rights holder.
