Corso's an idot

Just said that the reason OU lost was because the Sooners went to sleep in the second half, and it wont happen again.

blah blah blah stupid people that are too lazy to look at stats or re watch the game.

btw, I meant idiot,not idot

Couldn't you have just as easily posted "The sky is blue" or "*ebraska sucks"?

Corso being an idot is pretty well common knowledge. And for the record, the word has now been changed to "idot". That's how I will spell it from now on...

What always bothers me is that Fowler never contradicts him when he makes a stupid remark like that. I know Chris is the host and he has to remain neutral but I don't think anyone would call him a homer just because he corrected the idot.

And to think along the idot's thought process...

If you claim a team that was in the hunt for the national championship decides to "fall asleep" with only a 24-7 lead then you would need to follow that comment up with a notation that they they are obviously should not in the running without some serious improvement.

I will say one thing I noticed during the game - I don't think that OU had the same caliber of athletes that FSU had. They are much better coached, are a better team, and play a lot better than FSU, but I think FSU had better athletes. JMHO.

I agree a national caliber team does not wet the bed twice in the last 5 games (fiesta bowl) and CU - maybe they are not elite - I hope UT kicks their schooner asses!!!! Fowler should kick Corso in the nuts under the table for talking such ****e about CU

It bothers the hell out of me how neutral Fowler is. I don't know if he actually likes his alma mater...Sure, he's the host, but lots of other hosts give their personal input and opinions. Yeah, it wouldn't be professional to be bleeding black and gold on camera, but throwing CU a bone every now and then...now that the scandal is mostly behind us...wouldn't hurt.

But you're right...even if he didn't mention his CU affiliation, he could correct some of Corso and Herbie's mistakes...which are plentiful. However, I still like the crew and show.

If OU was that good and they "fell asleep" in the second half, they would have turned it back on as soon as the score got close. The problem is, they didn't have anything to turn on because THEY GOT BEAT. Apparently Corso wasn't watching the same game the rest of us were.

I'm sick of the media's bias with all things Colorado, the Buffs and the Rox are two prime examples right now.

I've heard Fowler is a fierce CU fan and that off camera he has shown his emotion both angry at CU's losses and joy in our victories. I can understand him wanting to appear neutral to us on camera but sometime I get the feeling he is overcompensating by his lack of comments about CU.

I have seen Fowler do some subtle things though to show his support for CU. Most Fridays after Thanksgiving you'll see him wearing a black tie (even saw a black and gold tie once) but that's usually as far as he will go on camera.

Agree, last week he was ranting on about how OU gave the game to CU. I guess I need to pay attention to those more subtle signs. IMO he's not an idot.

Corso an "idot" ... I love it ............he's as insignificant as the dot on the letter i
:smile2:

Corso's comment about OU falling asleep was an oversimplification of the game. He apparently didn't notice that OU got 2 very short fields for 14 of their 24 points and was outgained both in the first half and for the game.

I like the fact the Fowler is so neutral and how he "reports" the facts and stats surrounding each game.

Fowler is the one on the right, wearing the CU shirt.

I don't think he has a problem with people knowing where he went to school or that he's a fan. He might be a little too Swiss for many around here, but I think he's a true Buff. I don't think he'd ever pull a Reilly and throw the school under the bus.

And, of course, the CU gear is BY FAR THE BEST LOOKING gear of all!

Lighten up. Remember that the ESPN gig is his job. That's how he earns a very good living. If he becomes a raving CU homer he probably loses it.

As others have pointed out, he is a CU fan through and through.

I love Corso even though he is in idot.

Fowler is a huge CU fan.... he cant be on camera... look at his position, the moderator...

remember Trev wasn't asked back.... cause he was a big fing idot.

Corso's job is to act like the fool he is, and Dick Vitale was hired for the same reason. They act like clowns and rant and rave for the masses of people with marginal intelligence, old ladies, and children who find them entertaining and cute. Believe it or not - Vitale is in the basketball hall of fame.
Proof that you don't have to have any qualifications to be in a hall of fame.

because i was asked why people on here cant spell the word "idiot"

What idot wanted to know that?? :smile2:

I understand why Home Depot wanted the gameday crew to endorse the team colors paints. But let's face it, none of those three color schemes really makes a terribly liveable room (unless you stick to CU gold w/black accents rather than the other way around, I guess...)

My father-in-law, a former member of the husker marching band, painted his "nebraska room" NCAA "nebraska red". Frankly, I don't get it. Red is red...right (although they did run clever adds in which teams were losing because their fans weren't using the proper colors)?

And here's the kicker...the NCAA gets the money, because they own the colors (okay, I'm guessing here--but I think that's how it works). The more money, the more bureaucracy, the more bureacracy the more oversight. The more oversight, the more ridiculous the rulings. Who suffers, then? CU, that's who.

Wait a minute! Somehow my father-in-law single-handedly kept Jeremy Bloom off the field. I don't give that guy enough credit--that's brilliant strategy for a husker!

EDIT: I was the idot who wanted to know.
