There is no excuse for losing to Montana St at home, but there's a big difference here. I don't think even the most ardent Buff fan thought we would be good last year. Nebraska fans have been talking about how they are back for a while now.

There's no way to spin that loss. It was embarrassing. Frankly, the North still looks pretty bad as a whole, which is hard to believe. When is the last time the North was good?

I would say given the performances in our bowl games in 2001 it was definitely before that with respect to the national scene.

Anymore, it's a pretty sure bet that ND will lose. So it then comes down to whether CU can win and NU can lose. Who does *ebraska play next week?

not entirely correct, OU won the NC in 2000. i wouldn't say the North dominated that year. the dirt burglers beat Nebraska and KSU twice.

what do you mean by dominated? ATM beat KSU, and UT beat Nebraska in the 90's in the the conference championship game. i guess we get cred for winning in 01.
