The Unbeatens

Is it just me or does it seem like their are more unbeatens this late in the season this year than most years?

Wow, what a season it has been so far, some of the first half highlights are: Appy st beating Michigan, Notre Dame starting off 0-5, South Florida, Big upsets and early top ten shakeups. This is why I love college football and the NFL cant compare IMO.

Anyway, here are the unbeatens, how would you rank them? Heres mine

1. LSU
2. Ohio St.
3. Cal
4. Boston College
5. USF
6. Arizona St.
7. Hawaii
8. Missouri
9. Cincinatti
10. Kansas
11. Connecticut

Boston College's schedule

Wake Forest
NC State
GA Tech
Army
UMass
Bowling Green

That #4 ranking is a complete crock.

1. LSU
2. Ohio State (still a piece of crap)
3. Cal

Nobody else deserves a top 10 designation IMHO.

ASU will not survive the Pac-10 without a couple of losses.
Kansas and Missouri lose a couple of games - hopefully 1 each to the Buffs

I hope everyone loses a game but hawaii goes undefeated. Now that would get a lot of panties into a wad...

2. Ohio State (still a piece of crap)

You seem to have a hard on for tOSU. Exactly what is it about them that you dislike? The winning? The support? The total attention it gets from the following? Explain your fascination with them....

ps- Im not trying to be an ahole but it does seem that some CU fans really dislike tOSU and I really dont know why.

I am not a believer in the Big 10 period. Not a fascination with OSU themselves, more just pointing out the fact that I don't place much creedence on them as a conference. I wish I could by results that they have from playing good OOC games but I don't have a lot to go off of given the schedules that they have played.

Also, just have a bunch of Big 10 fans here that are a pain in the arse and claim they are even better than the SEC at all times. They also make it very clear that they are laughing at the Big XII and consider it to be on par with the MWC. They give Texass and OU some credit...but only some. Don't get me wrong...I love the midwesterners that I work with and know but as is the case with all conferences, everyone has their rose-colored glasses on for the conference of their choice. I just find the Michigan and OSU fans around here to be very annoying.

Now I am giving OSU credit by saying they are one of the few that actually appear to deserve a top ten ranking.

Fair enough. I have no worries. Im not really an tOSU fan (I think Im the only one in Ohio though, maybe mattybuff as well) but they really support their team, throw $$$ at the program like you wouldnt believe, and can field a top15 team year in and out. Wish CU had all those things....

I suppose there are still quite a few unbeatens left but honestly, would you expect any of them to run the table? LSU looks like the best team right now but plays in a killer conference. BC has flaws but an easy schedule. Nobody seems to be immune from the upset monster this year. I was actually wondering, could we possibly see a two-loss national champion this year??? Has that ever happened? Not since back in the early days of CF, I bet, if ever.....

Someday?!?

I definitely respect the support that teams like OSU get. That is something to be proud of for sure.

And I have to say that some of my favorite guests at Folsom were the Wisconsin fans.

Missouri will be in the CCG if they play the rest of the conference like they played NU.

OSU has Mich and couple of other challenges upcoming.

LSU has a few challenges.

ASU and Cal both have some good games upcoming.

I don't know much about USF but being in the big east and winning out get thems into a big game.

because they actually rival husker fans for arrogance. they are ugly. they have bad teeth. and because their grown men get caught on national tv blubbering like a baby when they lose. :smile2:

the latter are sort of excusable. the former is a well documented fact from multiple fanbases. they actually pissed of texas fans when the horns won at the shoe. think about that accomplishment for a moment. texas. home of the mulleted, sunburnt, missing toofed fans. who don't get riled up for anything small (they have to put up with aggys for chrissake).

they went out of their way to troll miami ESPN boards for 3 years following their mnc. unrelentingly.

they are some of the most touchy, narrow minded, unoriginal people i have had the misfortune to share ideas with. the sheer annoyance factor that they present with has caused me to shift from not minding them at all, to wishing them every heartache that they so richly deserve.
