Passing offense: B+. Much improved from last year, I doni't have numbers available, but this is why we are winning more this year.

Rushing offense: C+. A shakey start, but the last three games have been great andf this is improving, I can see this being a B towards the end of the year.

Rushing defense: A+. No individual has posted 100 on us since Kyle Bell WITH 40 carries in week 1.

Passing defense: B. Much improved from last year, you just don't throw to Wheatley.

Special teams: A. Return game has been good, two game winning FG's.

Coaching: A. This staff is doing a great job IMO.

Overall: B+. This is a young team exceeding expectations and things are looking up.

Offensive player of first half: Cody Hawkins
Defensive player of first half: Jordan Dizon
Newcomer of first half: Scotty McNight, Kai Maiva
Most improved player of first half: Patrick Williams

the only thing i add is to the newcomer i would add Chase McBride.:yeahthat:

I wouldn't quite give the special teams an A. Maybe a B- or c+. Remember Eberhart missed two FG's against FSU that might have made a big difference in that game. The kickoff returns that OU had were usually to around the 35 yard line, too.

Otherwise, it's been pretty good.

for special team player of the half you could include Kevin Eberhart (maybe co-special team player w/McBride). He has been surprisingly solid.

Eberhart has made up for those misses for being clutch, but you're right he does seem to miss one or two per game.

Oh and i wouldnt forget Jeff Smart. He has filled the hole from RJ Brown and Michael Sipili. it has been helpful to have a FORMER walk on rock like that.

Jeff Smart deserves recognition for newcomer.
So does Demetrius Sumler. #8 is racking up TDs.

We were, but you also have to give Kevin props for the two last second winning kicks

True, and I do. It's just our complaining about his misses shows how spoiled we were with our previous kicker, as he rarely missed inside 50 yards.

YEah, I agree.. He's been the biggest surprise of the team in my opinion..

I think the defense has played well since the CSU game.. Other than the 2nd quarter of the Arizona State game, they have dominated their competition.

I agree that Smart has been the surprise of the team but I have to stick with the Hawaiian Hippy as the Newcomer.
