Offensive genius Weis changes QB for the third time ...

He should just let clausen play. He'll only get better with the experience he gains this season. It doesn't make any sense to give clausen the hook now.

Clausen looks so awful.. I'm not sure he is the "future"
That cannot possibly be true. I saw hiim on ESPN when he was in high school. ESPN said, at the time, that he will be one of the greatest college QB's ever. ESPN cannot be wrong.

"Charlie Weis is no genius. If he were, he’d announce Tom Zbikowski as the starting qb against USC in order to get the point spread to around forty points, which worked once already against USC. Instead, the merely smart Weis announced Evan Sharpley as the starter against the Trojans, presumably tossing the junior–not considered the future commandante of the program like Jimmy Clausen is–to be broken in half by USC’s defense as a peace offering."

if Weis finishes the season 4-8, his record at ND after 3 years will be

23-14

Willingham's record after 3 seasons after 3 seasons was

21-16

What do you do if youre the AD at ND and why do you do it?

You do nothing. It would be way too expensive. Willingham was the victim of tacit racism and that's all there is to it. He's shown he's a good coach at Washington and Stanford. He didn't take a stupid pill in South Bend.

Firing Weiss now would cost millions of dollars. Even Notre Dame doesn't have that kind of money. Or if they do, they don't want to spend it like that.

I think Beano Cook already has Clausen penciled in on his Heisman ballot.

Whats really funny about the clausen thing is a couple of the less "respected" recruiting services where saying he wasnt even the best player on the team and they doubted he would handle the college game as well as people were saying....

He was on an All-Star team.. Not everyone had him as the #1 QB coming out..

I hate Clausen. Ever since the limousine incident on his recruiting visit. Grab a shovel and go to work, buttplug. Don't show up and expect everyone to bow down. Besides, if I remember right, didn't someone on this site post pics of him in Speedos with some of his "friends" from California. I'm not putting down alternative lifestyles but I can't believe that would help his leadership ability with his fellow domers. I know the Pope is against it, at least.

Ty Willingham is 9-20 at Washington in 2.5 seasons, he's recruited well though:thumbsup:

He has but he took over a truly bare cabinet, last years CU team would have beat the one he took over by 50.

And wies was awesome for his first 2 seasons with Ty's kids, that more what i was looking at.

:yeahthat:

Ty took over a complete disaster in Seattle. U-Dub is the only team to beat Boise State since 2005. I think he's done a remarkable job.

"Oregon rushed for an eye-popping 465 yards on 62 attempts. To put that in perspective, that's 192 more yards than Notre Dame has gained on the ground all season."
